David Brandon has decided to screw the Michigan football program by waiting until a few weeks before signing day to start a national coaching search. David Brandon put all of his eggs in one basket and now he looks like a moron. His statement that he waits until after the season (including bowl game) to evaluate all of his coaches just bit him in the arse.

OK, bad enough that you screw over your own program, but in doing so he is taking other programs with him.

LSU now has to wait until David Brandon interviews/offers Miles and then wait to see if LM accepts or rejects the offer. How long will this take? 1 week? 2 weeks? In the mean time the recruits who are still considering LSU have to take a wait-and-see approach. Even if the cost of all the uncertainty is losing one recruit, that isn't fair to the LSU program

In addition, let's not foget Brady Hoke. BH seems like a great guy and will wait by the phone just praying for a call from David Brandon. So what is he telling his recuits and players? I love you guys and I think I will be here -- but I'll have to let you know after David Brandon makes a decision.

David Brandon IMO is so full of himself he doesn't give a shite what anyone else thinks.

My opinion is Miles says F*** You David Brandon. I don't play second fiddle to Jim Harbaugh or anyone else.

So in closing I apologize to all of the LSU fans on behalf of our fricked up AD.

The Michigan fanbase is not happy ATM.

This feels just like 2007.

I really am hating the timing of this shite. It just doesn't make sense.

I won't be upset with Les for leaving, but I just want to know already.

Exactly. Coaches move around all of the time, but the timing of this couldn't have been any worse for everyone involved.

I have a gut feeling that Miles is going to get the distinct feeling that he's more appreciated by the LSU admin than UM.

And that is unfortunate for UM since the vacant job is there.

Wow! Do you need it spelled out for you? The whole "waiting until after the season" crap was just a charade. He had to wait out the Stanford and LSU bowl games, so he came up with that excuse as cover for Harbaugh and Miles. Those were his top 2 candidates. RR was gone a long time ago. I guarantee you that reps for both coaches were in contact with Michigan long before noe, just as I guarantee you that Alleva has already gauged interest in at the very least Pelini and Patterson should Les decide to leave. Brandon is screwing noone.

Yep, he knows that he wasn't UM's first choice. I think he should have been, but David Brandon had his head too far up Harbaugh's arse to see that there were candidates who were more quailified.

No way they wait that long. We will all know here in a few days either way.

I don't think Miles is the egotistical type, but he seems to be happy here and probably won't just head to UM for peanuts because he played and coached there.

I have a feeling UM was willing to open the checkbook for Harbaugh but not so much for Miles.

IMO, that won't get it done for UM with Miles.

I believe Brandon said they would be willing to open the checkbook for anyone.
Realistically the only one we wouldn't need to do that for is Hoke. We could pay him $5 to come here he's that desperate.

He has screwed two schools recruiting classes! Um coach at best has two weeks to patch up his class. UM's new coach's ex school at best has 1 week to patch up there class.

This. I understand it's CLM's dream job. I realize he met his wife there. I know he has a lot of Michigan memorabilia in his home. I know he describes himself as a "Michigan Man".

The only problem is, I'm an "LSU Man", and I want to know who's going to be coaching my team next year, and whether any of this affects recruiting.

It didn't help any that LSU's bowl game wasn't until the 7th. If DB doesn't act quick, you guys may be SOL.
