Can anyone recommend a good place for a custom cake. First ones that come to mind are Baum's and Gambino's. I would like the board's opinion on this. Kid's birthday cake, not too large, popular movie theme. Would like something clever/original.

Cake Goddess or Ambrosia

Cake Sushi at Cake Goddess is delicious! Cake and other ingredients rolled up and cut to look like sushi packaged in a sushi box with chocolate sauce to dip in. They are moving soon to the old Starbucks location by the Albertson's on Highland @ Airline.

My wife makes custom cakes. She can pretty much make any type of movie themed cake you need.

post your email and I will tell you how you can view some of her cake

Cakes of Grace

Ambrosia uses ultra-cheap ingredients... definitely don't recommend them.

The Hispanic grocery store? Same as La Tiendita? Those cakes look so life-like. The C-section one is kinda creepy.

Yes, it's owned by the same family that owns La Tiendita.

Terrific bakery, great selection of Mexican cookies, pastries, cakes, etc.
