i hope is seat is secure at ole miss for the next 10 years, they won't finish out of last in SECW as long as he is there.

He's safe for at least another year if not 2. They don't have the $$ to pay a buyout and hire another coach.

Well, the Ole Miss fans that I talked to last year said he was the best thing that happened to Ole Miss football since Archie Manning. And I had a different Ole Miss fan tell me after the LSU/Tennessee game this year that he was worried LSU was going to come after Nutt once they fired Miles. I just laughed, really hard, at both of these comments. But, I don't think the Ole Miss fan base is putting much, if any, pressure on the AD to get rid of Nutt.

you have to remember how pitiful their teams were under EO, despite his recruiting prowess. HDN by comparison has done quite well.

I talked a big ole miss booster at the lsu/ole miss game. I asked him if Nutt was on the hot seat and he just laughed. He said if they can get to the cotton bowl twice in a row then they sure dont mind a down season or two.

Sad thing is, it can be argued that 2008/2009 is the best 2 year stint in Nutt's coaching career outside of Murray State. Finished with 3 losses or less only once. Ole Miss knew what they were getting before he was hired.

1998 Arkansas 9–3
1999 Arkansas 8–4
2000 Arkansas 6–6
2001 Arkansas 7–5
2002 Arkansas 9–5
2003 Arkansas 9–4
2004 Arkansas 5–6
2005 Arkansas 4–7
2006 Arkansas 10–4
2007 Arkansas 8–4 (did not coach bowl game)
2008 Ole Miss 9–4
2009 Ole Miss 9–4

2010 Ole Miss 4–8
