Today I think they are a top #2 program that could win against either Oregon or Auburn
No. They had impressive speed and solid defense against....a slower team. But not at SEC caliber week in week out.

tcu played a grossley overrated wisconsin team that lost to mi. state, ala 49-7. tcu would lose to old miss they are about equal to michigan state

wisconson barley beat San jose state the teams they blew out were very weak big ten schools
the big ten co-champ mich state got beat 49-7 by the 4th best sec school! How can you say the big ten was good this year!

You, sir are delusional. Wisconsin scored in the 70's twice this year and have a solid running game with two quality backs. I was a bit surprised at their passing game but number 1 is a heck of a receiver. TCU basically shut them down. They are NOT over rated. I am a true Tiger fan of 50+ years and I wouldn't want to schedule the Frogs on a regular basis. It does no good to berate another team hoping to make yours shine. It was as good a game as I've seen ever.

Where do some of yal come up with this crap? Seriously TCU being equal to Ole Miss might be the dumbest thing I've EVER read on here. That's something to be proud of sir, quite an accomplishment.

TCU deserves a share of the national championship. The BCS has screwed up again.

TCU won the BCS game and congrats to them for their season.
Wisconsin was the best the Big 10 had this season, but after what we have seen in the bowl match-ups...what does that say bout the Big 10?
The 4th place team in the SEC West just beat the dog do-do out of the Big 10 Co-Champs and I think they are like 0-7 in all bowl games.
I guess we will see better after the Sugar Bowl and I know bowl games don't always tell the whole story on a team or a conference, but geezzzzzzzz...0-7 and very bad beatings of some don't say much for a conference.

+1
Wisky was a very good team that would probably beat LSU. They got better as the year went on. Sure, some of their blowout wins were over crappy Big10 teams...but LSU couldnt even blow out McNeese this year. Wisky and TCU were both very good and evenly matched, and both would beat LSU this year.
Big10 is not as good as the SEC, but it isnt the SunBelt. In recent years LSU has lost to Iowa and Penn State.

All you have to do is run between the tackles against TCU and you can put up infinity rushing yards. Cam newton vs TCU would be hilarious television.

Virtually every coach, sports writer, commentator, and run-of-the-mill college football fan in America disagrees with you. You sound like every other idiot who said "Wisconsin will crush TCU", only to now say "Wisconsin is way overrated". I'll bet you didn't even watch more than 10 mins of that game. But regardless, open your eyes and realize that it's perfectly fine to love and support the Tigers and SEC, while also respecting a well-coached, disciplined, very strong TCU team.
It's idiotic comments like this (and similar ones made on this thread) that make us LSU fans and Louisianians look so damn foolish.

Exactly my thoughts. TCU is a very good team and as I said earlier I was very impressed with how physical they were in that game.
People who dog their schedule have a very valid point because it is very weak but they could compete with any team in the SEC on any day.
Quality team with a quality coach and I have no problem giving them the respect they deserve.

Frankly when you look at the conferences the only ones that aren't over-rated are the SEC and the ACC. The Big-10 just got their asses handed to them by the SEC and are now 2-5 in bowls. Their two wins came against the Big-12 (now 3-4 in bowls), which had one of their best, Nebraska, taken down by Washington. Meanwhile the PAC-10 only has 4 bowl eligible teams. I'm expecting SEC domination from here on out. The top 4 teams in the country might all be in the SEC West. Oregon, could be up there, but you can't tell for certain because they played cream puffs.

Just curious, but how many TCU games did you watch this year? How many Wisconsin games? Try not to lie when you answer that question.
Make whatever idiotic comments you want, but here's the bottom line: TCU had no turnovers. No major penalties. They reached the red zone twice, and scored each time. They held a Big 10 champion (the conference that MOST analysts called the second strongest, behind the SEC) to 19 points - and this was a team that averaged 48 points per game in 2010.
And your argument of "they lost to this team, who lost to that team, who beat this other team" is moronic. Virginia Tech lost to a 6-5 James Madison, AND Boise State (who lost to Nevada). But they won their conference, are playing in a BCS game, and are a strong football team. And how about Carolina? Beat Bama, but lost to Kentucky and FSU. does that tell me ANYTHING about the Clemson team they beat 29-7? Of course not.
But this is all common sense and logic - elements that are completely lost on you.
