I don't think his performance in the bowl will have much to do with it. Competition will be open in the spring, especially if Crowton is gone.

Competition will be open with Mettenberger but our staff is too stubborn to be rational with a decision.

I'm just going to go out on a limb and say that doesn't happen at all. Considering Jefferson has only thrown 250+ yards all of twice in 26 games started. Hell he has only thrown 200+ yards 6 times in 26 starts.
