...just because he was tall. This should have been foreshadowing for the season. TJ's apathetic demeanor has infected the team and how they play.

Food for thought. Mens basketball was the ONLY team last year with no post season. I'm talking men and womens sports.

I'm not expecting SEC championships right away, but for fricks sake, win at least 2 outta 4 against Nicholls State, Coastal Carolina, Wichita State, and North Texas. What an embarassment.

he is 7+ feet, sometimes those can be great finds

I think he may be a red shirt he will only add to the team probably will try out like all walk-ons next year

You peeps can give me all the excuses you can, but the bottom line is we are getting worse every year.

Brady never lost to an in state team in his tenure. Barely scraping by Mcneese state and losing to NSU, that's a shame.

if you can coach a 7 foot guy the right way he can make a big difference on a basketball team.

this guy from the band is a hit or miss.

I don't think its a sign we are getting worse.

plus as shown from the NCAA tourney year after year mid majors are getting better and better, our team isn't really good at all but still you never know NSU could have a good year NTU could have a good year, Mcnesse state could have a good year. I think people make the mistake that big schools should always beat small schools, this isn't football people, the butlers and the george masons of the basketball world have a chance to make noise and a team of their caliber in football would never have a chance of competing for a title if they where in the SEC.

I'm not trying to give excuses for our loss but these teams are better then you think.

I think we will be better next year good enough for NIT, this is a young team if these players hit their potential we could make a run at something big in a year or two.

I think trent is going after teh build a team on 4 year players instead of 1 year players, becuase of that we may have a couple down years, that's what we are going through now, the question is do we build a team like we had when we gave UNC their only game of the tourney or we went to the final four, or we will continue to see these horrible seasons.

give it time people I suspect we will be better in a year or two.

I could've won the SEC that year

As far as the in state thing goes, I thought I heard we hadnt lost to an in state team in a long time. For that, I gracefully apologize.

I don't see these players developing into a squad that can compete for anything that ends in a championship.

I'm glad I was a student at LSU when I was and got to witness a Final Four appearance and NC's in FB and Baseball. It'd disappointing to see what it has become.

And Duke had a walk-on who averaged less than 10 points per game in the New England private league.

UNC regularly has guys on their team who are no better than your average players in any frat league.

The quality of the walk-ons really has no impact on the rest of the team, although coaches do usually go for guys who are hard workers or have important connections. The 7'2" tuba player does not signify much of anything.

And fwiw, Wichita State, Coastal Carolina, and UNT are better than at least 4-5 SEC teams, although the margin of defeat tonight was certainly embarrassing.

Auburn is miserable. LSU will win both games against Auburn and split with Alabama and probably win another game or two. The SEC has some terrible teams, and a conference made up of the top mid-major and low-major champs (which would include Coastal Carolina, Wichita State, and North Texas) would skullfrick the bottom half of the SEC.

They will be playing in March and the entire SEC west will sit at home.

Part of it is that people don't realize that these teams are actually good. The only loss that has surprised me is the Nicholls game. The margin of the UNT game is bad as well, but the differentials for Memphis and Wichita State exceeded my expectations for this LSU team.
