My friend is in deep shite, (any advice would be great)

My friend's wife is going to kill him. I will start by saying what a dumb arse. He was cleaning his gun and put the bolt back in. For some reason he didn't notice the bullets in the magazine and when he slid the bolt it loaded a bullet in the chamber. Then the dumb arse tried to dry fire the 30-06 and the gun went off in the house. he shot through the bedroom wall and into the bathroom wall, out of the bathroom wall, into the living room wall and stopped when it hit the brick outside. He needs help because he will be a deprived man soon and as you well know we have our needs. Thanks for all you help

my only advice would be for him to take a gun safety course and be more careful next time.

No he does not. He has been my best friend for years and is one of the safest people I know. I don't know whtat the hell he was thinking

He has to sell the gun. Sucks 
ETA: He should get rid off his gun(s), let shite blow over this year, then buy a new one next year after promising multiple times not to be a dumb frick around the afore mentioned guns

Wow don't really know where to start. The good news is he won't be able to hear his wife wearing his arse out. And again don't really understand how the gun was cleaned and bolt put back in and he not know there was a round in the gun. Was alcohol involved with this. He is lucky no one was hurt because of this.
