Manning seems like a douchebag, thats enough reason for me to not like the guy. I also think the gigantic fans of "Fetus head" (Kissing Suzy Kolber, not me) get annoying as hell by refusing to acknowledge that he has had fantastic receivers his entire career in Indy.

I have a Peyton Manning story, first hand, from playing against him in high school where the guy was a class act even then:
I was on second base and running my mouth like a punk that I was back then. I told him that we were going to be getting hits all day against their pitcher, etc., etc. He looks at me and says, "Hey man. Let's just have a good game."
Pretty classy for a kid in high school if you ask me. No cameras, etc.

Cool story, bro.
Seriously, that is a cool story.
I mean, I've heard both sides w/ Manning. Some people say he's really nice, others say he's an arrogant douche pervert. The truth is, we mostly know and judge famous people based on the few best or worst moments of character and judgment. My opinion of Manning is based much more on simply the vibe I get from his body language, demeanor, etc.
You ever just dislike a guy but can't put your finger on why? That's me w/ Manning. I don't have a particular problem w/ the Colts or their fans as a whole (besides the fact that they're not the Saints but there's no special hatred like I have for, say the Falcons or Cowboys). It's not b/c he went to Tennessee b/c I typically root for SEC players in the league (cheesy, I know).

I have a massive problem with Bill Polian. I also have a problem with how they deal with the league. Lose to the Pats a couple of times in the playoffs? Cry to the competition committee and get the yards shortened where the corners can touch the WRs.

The story is much cooler for me than him. I hit the ball through his legs to knock in the winning run for the state championship. *my athletic claim to fame*

I don't mind the yelling on the field (sometimes you gotta take control as a QB) but to call out your o-line like that is unacceptable.
to appropriately say "we had some problems with protection". Hmm. He knew exactly what he was doing.
Were the problems with protection. I bet so. SO how is that throwing them under the bus? He stated a fact.

Anyone who has a problem with Manning is just looking for something to not like him for.
They guy has mastered virtually every individual peculiarity of playing the quarterback position, never misses a start, he's humble in victory, and takes his share and more of the blame in defeat. The guys a pro, and he's all class.
There's nothing bad you can say about the guy and if you do, you either have an agenda, or you're not capable of being objective.
If my children carry themselves as adults the way Peyton has carried himself, I'll have reason to be proud
yup.
As always Haters gonna hate!

Manning has the worst body language of anyone when things aren't going his way. He acts like a whinny 16 year old girl who didn't get a Mercedes for their birthday when the Colts are losing
so now he is criticized for his body language when he loses. He's very competitive. The NFL is no place for an "it's allright fellas" when you lose. Despite that, Manning is classy, not happy, but classy, in a lass as well.

So, to you, it's not ok to criticize his body language, but it's ok for you to correlate his post-game interview style to his on the field success?

This guy begs to differ.

Wow. Nothing like embarrassing your o-lineman after a postseason loss.

Yes. Pointing a finger at teammates in the media instead of the locker room is perfectly acceptable and classy when it's a player that you happen to like.
I continue to be amazed by how much you suck.

i'll put this nicer so it doesnt get deleted this time. But tangerine has some dealings with Cooper so he loves the mannings more than anything and starts these obsessed threads on them all the time.

what? You are out to lunch. I said nothing about his on the field success. I am talking about him saying the right things in interviews. Classy. Some can't find anything to criticize, so I guess they hate on how he slumps his shoulders and his facial expressions when he or the colts are not doing well. I'd bet if he did not do that then the haters would get on him for not showing ANY negative emotion when he loses.

I'm pretty sure it takes on field success to become one of the 3 GOAT QBs, so yea, you was speaking about on field success.

meaning that he likely believes his own mantra (the right things he says during interview). By no means was I saying he is great because of what he says. In other words, his "self-talk" you might call it, is one of the main reasons. Sorry that was so confusing to you.
That's because...well...because you are "out to lunch"

In the interview he says that they had some issues in protection.. We all know that the QB has a lot to do with identifying the D to the rest of the team and calling out the protection, just pre-snap.. and after the snap, Peyton has to identify the the blitzing backer and throw hot if need be.. All of which is associated with "protection"... So although it may sound like he was throwing his OL under the bus.. he was probably stating that they had trouble as a cohesive unit with the protection.
As far as him yelling at his lineman like that.. Its called being a leader and taking charge of his offensive unit.

In some ways, it was almost like he was speaking like a coach. ANd you know they let him coach quite a bit.
