All of which is associated with "protection"... So although it may sound like he was throwing his OL under the bus.. he was probably stating that they had trouble as a cohesive unit with the protection.
Riiiiight. So you're selling that he was sharing the blame after he said he was "trying to be a good teammate" before saying that. Everybody that saw him say what he said knew what he meant. That's why Bradshaw ripped him a new a-hole (rightly so) right after it happened.

As far as him yelling at his lineman like that.. Its called being a leader and taking charge of his offensive unit.
I have no problem w/ this. That was a private moment w/ teammates that the mics happened to catch.

There are a lot of irrational Peyton haters on this site for two reasons:

1. He didn't go to LSU

2. He won the past two MVP awards over Brees

Right, anybody that doesn't worship at the alter of Manning is an "irrational hater." This sounds just like the Favre-sucking from a few years ago: If you don't buy into the media-created public persona that he's a great family guy, leader of men, and American hero, you're an irrational hater! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! GTFO w/ this bullshite.

All-time great QB--Yes.
All around great guy/family man--We don't fricking know and are left to go off only our own perceptions so stop trying to force your personal perception of the man down everyone else's throat.

I don't know about hating Manning. I know I don't have a problem with him. But I think people are tired of the non-stop love-fest for the guy when he is clearly not perfect. You know, just like everyone else.

I never said that. I respect you as a poster for the most part, but you really become terrible when discussing this or anything related to the Saints.

Link one thing I've ever said that was irrational when discussing the Saints or ripping Peyton Manning. If you can't find a link, give an example of something I've said. I think you have me confused w/ someone else on that.

Also, read my other posts in this thread about Manning. I don't see how anything I (me, personally) have said about Manning can be considered irrational.

This was my take on Manning in this thread:
quote:

I mean, I've heard both sides w/ Manning. Some people say he's really nice, others say he's an arrogant douche pervert. The truth is, we mostly know and judge famous people based on the few best or worst moments of character and judgment. My opinion of Manning is based much more on simply the vibe I get from his body language, demeanor, etc.

You ever just dislike a guy but can't put your finger on why? That's me w/ Manning. I don't have a particular problem w/ the Colts or their fans as a whole (besides the fact that they're not the Saints but there's no special hatred like I have for, say the Falcons or Cowboys). It's not b/c he went to Tennessee b/c I typically root for SEC players in the league (cheesy, I know).
ETA: I don't think you've seen much of my stuff regarding the Saints and are simply stereotyping me because I'm a Saints fan. Pretty much all my Saints-related posts are directly related to an ongoing game and are positive things supporting our players. And I don't see this particular thread as anything Saints-related.
