And why should they? I work two jobs to send my kids to Catholic schools. Archbishop Shaw tried this a few years ago and darn near caused riots among parents and alumni.

My parents worked hard to send me and my sister to RHS.

Why wont everybody else???.

This could change the whole thread so I probably shouldn't but in the Catholic spirit of the schools shouldn't under-privileged kids be given a helping hand?

If tuition at a schools is 7,000 and the family can scrape together 1,500 why can't the school help out with the rest?

Yes they should help, and if they are willing to help, you can bet Sid Edwards will be back on the North Side.

Sid will never go back to RHS. He will be in Central as long as they let him.

He may want to coach again, so he would have to make a move. Why not Redemptorist? It's his school, he got it going the first time.

shaw was by no means the only ones.. what caused the problem was kids paying their tuition not playing....

I think you have to go back and look at their most successful years and bring back the top assistants available.

2002-03
OC : Joey Sanchez (Current AD Zachary Schools)
DC : Gaetano Mistretta (New HC Trafton Academy)

2005
OC : Chris Towery (Current OC Pasadena HS, TX)
DC : Doug Dotson (Current HC Central HS)

Of those four only one is currently available for promotion.

Known applicants now:
Current DC
Bishop Sullivan DC
Bishop Sullivan OC
Scotlandville HS OC

BilJ I see what your doing and I don't like it.

This was supposed to be a serious thread.

Besides we all know that Ryan Fairchild is the only one that can save the pack!

If you watched the Cubs this year you noticed several players not dressed out. They were flipping numbers and signals like that stupid Malzahn/Tony Franklin stuff.

They were all ineligibles due to transfer rules. Watching for next year. They have a DE that will be a junior that was secretly offered at the BAMA camp this summer.

seems to work pretty well for Malzahn and Kelly. Maybe they should use pictures instead of #s.

Why is everyone all over Sid's dick? He was by far the worst of the 3 head coaches I played for in high school. The other players loved him because practices were easy and laid back (no wonder we sucked). Then, naturally, after the season he bolted for Central (can't really blame him because I know he and his family were more comfortable in the BR area). He was the definition of a players' coach, except we didn't want to play for him. He just gave us the easy way out, which is why we missed out on the playoffs in a weak Catholic League.

The picture slide that Oklahoma State had last year was pretty funny to watch. They had some funny pictures on there. OSU now uses a lot simpler approach to signals that doesn't take near as long to get the plays in with.

Why would you say that about your former coach. If you don't like Sid keep it to yourself, he is a hell of football coach.

Perhaps Sid had certain away coaches at carrolton and banks that were forced upon him

Sid won at 2 places that were perennial losers before him

Maybe that bluejay team just wasn't good
