Is anyone else sick of watching other teams play in the SEC championship?

Unfortunately the standard to play in it the last two years has been 8-0 perfection. One of the consequences of playing in the best division in the country.

if we cannot win the west every 3 or 4 years that is completely unacceptable. hell, we were winning it every other year til last year since 2001. oh well. SECCG or bust for les next year. it will be his 4th year since winning the west.it is time. LES MILES HAS TO WIN THE WEST NEXT YEAR or it will be CRAZY.

I agree about the 8-0 thing. That is usually not the case, but has been the last few years. We'll be back soon.

I'm not watching for off-the-field reasons. The SEC-W, as of the past few years is the toughest division in the toughest conference in all of CFB. When Auburn wins the BCS on the field, that will be 3 SEC-W teams with BCS trophies since the 2007 season. Mississippi State is as good as I can remember them EVER being. (The 1992 LSU team, widely regarded as the worst LSU team in the past 100 years defeated Tulane and what can only be described as a terrible MSU team. 24-3). Arkansas is fielding their best team since they entered the conference. Ole Miss doesn't look very good this year, but a part of that is because they played every other team in the SEC-W.

Alabama will be a lot like LSU this year. All defense and little offense. AJ McCarron will be Tider public enemy #1 next year.

+1. My point on another post was 10 wins today is irrelevent if you can't reach ANY of your goals for the third straight year.
Sorry, but a change at coach after a 7 win season would have been acceptable than this shite again. We bumbled and GOT LUCKY AS shite this season. It will not continue and we will continue to get exposed by teams with equal talent and better coaching.

FWIW, it didn't take a lot to win the West until the last few years. We were 5-3 in 2001 and in 2003 we beat Ole Miss to Atlanta for God's sake. Now that Bama, Auburn, Arkansas and to lesser extent State have gotten their shite together, it's still going to be difficult.

I think playing in the SEC championship a couple of times a decade is pretty good in my opinion.

who suggested we're not trying? everyone is. not going undefeated is a fact of life when the top five teams in your division are 41-1 against all other competition. LSU was in the thick of it with the probable national champ and had our chances but couldn't pull it out. As a fan, I'm satisfied with good competition at the highest level. Can't win em' all.

And I don't consider Auburn to be "elite" in the longterm, I just they have the good fortune of having landed a really special player in Cam Newton that can single-handedly will his team to a title (ala VY 2005).

When a 3 loss team represents the West and it's not LSU, you can bitch. When the winner of the West is undefeated and going to the BCS title game, you can kindly STFU.

Spot on, its not like when Colorado went to the Big 12 championship game 4 out of 5 years and still fired their coach.

and, we had mediocre results the last two years ( 4 and 5 loss seasons which are very ron zook like) due to mediocre performances. they go hand in hand. performance especially offensively was not there this year but we were very FORTUNATE to have gotten the results we did with th product we put out on the field especially on O. could easily have been 8-4 again this year and that would have been a 3 rd straight mediocre zook like year as far as losses go and miles would have been gone IMO. Jeremy Foley at UF set the standard. but we got 10 wins.....will we win that next year? how about the west for a change? we could improve performance and still come away with the same record. that is how lucky we got in 3 games this year. 2 of them were one play away from losing. Thanks again Derek Dooley and to that UNC tight end for dropping that TD pass in the EZ.
