Then you probably have only been a fan of lsu since they started winning bcs titles. LSU vs aTm used to be a big time rivalry and a great game to be at. I can't stand those fig aggies more than the vandys, kentuckys of the sec. I personally wish we'd play a home and home with them every year again over playing west Virginia and Oregon in Dallas.
I'll be fired up for this game if we do in fact get to beat down these clowns!! Geaux tigers!!

Even still. If I consider aTm to be such a big rivalry, why wouldn't I consider them to be any different than Ole Miss? I don't really get excited to play Ole Miss because they've been so irrelavant for so many years. The same can be said of aTm. I will grant that they were good rivals of ours in the 80's and 90's and I was around then but I'm just not understanding what you all see in this matchup that gets your blood pumping so.

Growing up going to LSU games I always considered A&M our biggest rival. I can't really remember any team I wanted LSU to beat more year in and year out. Of course that probably has to do with my dad cheering loudest against A&M. I also remember hearing all of the "aggie jokes" growing up. Besides maybe "go to hell ole miss go to hell" I don't remember that with any other team / fanbase. I would love for the yearly game to be renewed. Just my .02

It's a very regional game that will have no national interest. Rather play Michigan State in the Cap One. No one gives a rats tail about A&M. Strange school, strange alumni and fans!

I'm more fired up about LSU playing in the best game. IMO the Cap1 Bowl against a 10-1 Big Ten is the best game
TAMU shouldnt even be in the Cotton Bowl..the #2 Big 12 team should be, which is Oklahoma St. or the loser of OU/Nebraska
Only reason TAMU is in Cotton Bowl is because of greed by the bowl committee. They know Ags fans are clamoring to get back into a good bowl to travel and spend $$$

Sorry, but i would have rather played Nebraska in the Cotton Bowl to try and break our 0-4 against them. Plus i feel like they (or Oklahoma) are a bigger name in College Football.

A&M has won 8 of the last 12 games in the series -- including the last 5 in a row -- and was like Rice on the schedule for years ..

my first game as a season ticket holder for the first time was vs A&M in 1986.
