Any shot LSU ends up in Birmingham? Other than the fact that it's a 10 min drive for me to legion field this bowl has many perks. Many LSU alums. Fertile recruiting grounds. Cheap bowl tickets. JAN 8th has no other big games. Easy big east opponent. Come on alleva, turn down cap1, cotton, gator, outback, peach, music city and liberty

Exactly. I remember one year in Hallman's debacle the Tigers were 5&5 going into Arkansas and would head for one of the lower teer bowls with a victory. Tiger nation was ecstatic! Then the Tigers laid and egg in Little Rock(sound familiar?) It would be one of those kind of years that would land us in the Hammer. Hopefully no time soon.

Actually,it was in Baton Rouge. One of my saddest days as an LSU fan. Beat Arkansas,its on to the Carquest Bowl. LSU got up 14-0 and lost 42-24. Arkansas ran a pick back about 85 yds for a score to salt it away.
