Offensive talent digressing under Crowton...

I am sick and freaking tired of watching us diminish our recruiting classes and talent under his watch. Granted you get a overhyped kid every now and then, but name one offensive skill player that has lived up to the hype. This tells me it's all the system, and the finger points directly to Crowten.
Shep and Randle will be Juniors next year and have produced very little.
Are our QBs really that bad or is it the system? Both were very well thought of kids coming out of high school.
Chuck Scott, Kieland Williams, D Byrd, Terrance Tolliver, and Brandon Lafell got worse the longer they were at LSU.
Even Matt Flynn digressed as the year went on in '07, and I garuntee you we don't win the SEC without the spark that Perrilloux provided at the end of the season.
If Crowten is retained it is a sad day for LSU football. If anything, I really am starting to feel sorry for Jordan Jefferson who has had to accept and take most of the criticism.

What the hell are you talking about? Flynn was solid all year, shite he put close to 400 passing yards on Bama that year? 4 TDs against Ohio Suck.

UT should have never been in that game, LSU dominiated but turnovers at the wrong time let UT stay around.

When are you going to do your preview for the baseball team this year? Now that the football team only has one game left I am looking forward to the baseball season.

I don't think i've ever done a preview

No doubt.
I'll eventually have a thread where I might pick some surprise players that everyone is gonna love next year though.

Even though you used the wrong words and you misspelled a few names, you have a point. Think about who our best offensive recruits were the past few years then think about how they've played on the field. When one or two recruits fail to live up to expectations, it's normal. But when it becomes a common thing, it's coaching.

Our record has improved every year since JJ and JL have been starters. I want Crowton gone as well but I have a hard time understanding how you think we have been getting worse

Its a lack of confidence.
Can be attributed to coaching and other environmental factors such as assholes on message boards and newspapers etc pointing out their faults everyday.

Our defense has gotten better. You can't tell me that JJ or JL have gotten better since they were freshman. JJ has gotten worse. JL is about the same.

Maybe Miles is just a shitty recruiter or evaluator of talent?

Randle had a pretty fair Soph season.
Toliver was given a good many chances,
Shepard has been utilized poorly.
Flynn, Scott, Williams, Lafell, and Byrd were all on NFL Rosters at some point. I am pretty sure you dont make that level if you regress from your high school abilities.
Do we need a new OC...without question, but to say our players regress shows lack of reason.

If you read your entire OP, you would be able to answer this question yourself.
I think Crowton's time has passed here and I believe so does Les Miles. But, what really has hurt Crowton the worst is very poor QB play. Neither JJ or JL have "It" when it comes to being the guy. I wish both did, they are great kids, but the truth is obvious. Just my take on it.

Regress, not digress.
Crowton, not Crowten
Keiland Williams.
fricking Tech.

Point taken, I will agree that they haven't gotten much better. However, I think JJ is a better game manager then last year. He took a lot more sacks last year. (Didn't look up numbers, but it seems that way to me). Offensive line has improved and he still takes way too many sacks but last year was awful. JL has not improved much but has looked better then last two years. Florida and Tenn this year way better then LA Tech last year or any game his freshman year.
No doubt QB play has still been very poor and inconsistant
