I was doing some christmas shopping after work and noticed this store in the outside portion of the mall across from Borders.

I walked in and inquired about gift cards (they will be getting them in soon for Christmas). They have numerous specialty cupcakes like banana foster, red velvet, etc. They also make cupcakes for dogs (called pupcakes).

Anyway, I bought my fiancee a red velvet before leaving ($3.00 for a nice size cake). Well I tried to buy it, but their credit card machine would not work. They let me have the cupcake for the inconvenience (I don't carry cash). I think it is run by a mom and her two daughters (both daughters were btw). Very nice people and I hope they do well.

Fiancee loved the cupcake. I had a bite and must say it was really good. I will be looking to buy from them for various upcoming events.

Just wanted to share

Thanks for the info. My girlfriend loves cupcakes, might have to swing by and get her some. Saw it while shopping at Apple recently, but it seemed pretty plain from the outside, as if it were unfinished, but it said "Now Open."

Good to see BR remains on its same timetable of being at least 8-10 years behind on all food trends/fads.

Sweet Wishes (?)--the place on Perkins between Bluebonnet & Siegen. They've been in business for at least 5-6 years because I remember eating some of their cupcakes at a party. They were really good too, but I don't know if I'd go out of my way to any place to get a cupcake.

it's pretty plain on the inside, but they just opened Friday so I'm sure they will jazz it up. Cupcakes are very nice looking and are in big glass cases.

Was wondering what everyone thought about the cupcakes now that they've been open for a little while?

i went once and both me and my gf thought the cupcakes were too dry and very meh.

doing it yourself with a box of yellow cake mix and a few containers of the assorted icings is the way to go for delicious cupcakes IMO.

i'm a huge fan of sprinkles and my gf is not..this sometimes causes problems in our relationship.

Cupcakes are cute, and I truly hope for success for them, but I am just not into the idea.;
I feel like it's just a trend right now and will die eventually. Sortof like the yogurt places on every corner.

I'm weird and don't like sweets. I hate cakes and cupcakes made in bakeries, but love the funfetti mix from the box
