Who's' Kelvin Sheppard from Stone Mountain Georgia?

What?
Remember those thoughts when he was recruited?
I admit that I did.
Miles may be a different breed of coach, but when it comes to recruiting, He's among the best.
This year proves that he can stand alone no doubt.

He is our coach- and I hope he is for many years to come...

When Kelvin was a Freshman me and my dad went to LSU fan day, and he told me to get his autograph. I said, "Why, he's not even starting." My dad said, "Trust me, he's going to become a legend." I'll be damned, he did. Now I hang his autograph proudly in my dorm room. I think he needs to go down as one of the greatest linebackers and one of Mile's best recruits. He's a hard worker, he has heart, he's a leader to the entire team. Without him, our defense would not have been the same.

Why's Ryan Perrilloux playing special teams?

Well, he really wasn't that great before chavis. He was downright terrible in 2008.
He's maybe my favorite player now and he always had ability, just needed some coaching worth a damn.

He keeps it up and he may have a spot between Robert E Lee and Stonewall Jackson. That had to be weird to be a black kid growing up there.

Stonewall Jackson taught black kids to read the bible so they could be saved and he broke the law to do it.
Lee hated slavery and thought it evil.
No problem with those two guys.

no he wasn't. he was starting to come in to his own down the stretch of 08.
and for all the hand wringing over him being a 3 star, his offer list was impressive:
LSU
UF
UGA
Tenn
VT
Maryland
was he one of those guys like Tyrann that we got on early during a camp and then other teams followed suit afterward?
I remember Chavis and UT tried hard to flip him and Perry before signing day.

Some people said it was a "2 for 1" to get Riley.
Then "Why is Ryan Perilloux playing special teams?"
Amazing how things change.

That doesn't even begin to touch the history of Stone Mountain, though.

Could someone ask him to get a better hairstyle?
Posted on 11/22/10 at 1:24 pm to ATLTiger
I remember him being pretty bad in 08...but our entire defense was too

Jake The Snake was from Stone Mountain Georgia too. I knew KS11 would be a good one.

I think Les is a very good recruiter. He is among the best. This stand alone business is a bit much. Do you mean as a recruiter or as a coach. As a coach we hadn't won an SEC West Title in 3 years so he doens't stand alone there. As a recruiter he is right up there with Florida, Bama, USC, and other programs. I don't know about standing alone. I am happy with this year, but let's not put Les in a class by himself. Among the best is where he is.

That Stephenson High defense probably had more talent than you will see on any high school defense. The three starting LBs were Sheppard, Perry Riley, and Marcus Ball. Marcus was a 5 Star and signed with FSU. Jermaine Cunningham signed with Florida. He got to Manning to force the last INT in the Pats-Colts game yesterday.

It's hard to say HE was terrible. The whole defense was awful with the failed co-DC experiment.
