5 man limit of pouldoux. Most ppl ive ever seen there to date. 4 boats(non pop up blinds) within 50 yds of my blind. All in all a good time

We had our limit of 75 pretty early also. Some guys I know went back Sunday and only killed 1 pouledeau. Not sure if there are many left back there, which would be good for me. No more pouledeau = no more weekend warriors.

I'm only an occasional duck hunter, but I didn't realize people actually shot coots. Those are the black ones with white on the beak, right?

They count as ducks?

Hell yeah. Taste better than some ducks IMO. Huge gizzards on them. Pop the breast and the gizzard

No not yet. I am setting a live animal trap this week to catch those fat bastards. My mom's friend down Grand Caillou wants all we can catch. I think I will just let her cook me some up instead.
