Saw a small one at Rouse's for $70.00. Must have been about 7 lbs. Why so much?

I was going to buy one last week until I saw the price tag. The price was ridiculous. I ended up buy two 5 1/2 Maple Leaf Farms ducks instead.

Not sure. Might be a supply and demand issue.

They both have feathers. The similarities end there.

Yep. Goose is one of the greasiest, nastiest things you can eat. Did it once, and that was plenty.

Agree. Had it once and did not like it. Very greasy.

I've never ever purchased a goose.

...hunting license and ammo yes, but I've never paid directly for a goose. Heck, in the North they were so plentiful that they'd hire snipers just to attempt to take back the golf courses. It was nothing to see numerous gaggles of 100+ roaming around the links. Paying for a goose with that abundance is therefore beyond my comprehension.
