Satan mentioned that to his players in the ESPN "Training days; Rolling with the Alabama Crimson Tide". I thought he was making the crap up just to pump up the gumps.

Way cool! I like it.

Your description of what happened at the post game press conference is not accurate.

The question put to Miles was along the lines of "What did Sheppard say to you when he gave you the game ball". To which Miles ultimately replied "It would not be appropriate for me to repeat" or something along those lines. The question was not concerning Mile's response or how he took it but was about what Sheppard said to his coach.

What if he and his family are sick of the scrutiny?

4 million in a high stress job, or 2 million in a low stress job. For a guy with the money Miles has, he can make that decision.

I wouldn't blame him at all if he left, even for Colorado. Our ignorant fans treated him like shite up to 5-0, 7-0, and 7-1. He's been successful and a class act since day 1, but somehow that's not good enough for the majority.

I'm an LSU grad, season-ticker holder, and life-long fan so it pains me to say this, but if we run him off after this season we really don't deserve a good coach.

As far as I'm concerned Miles can pull out a chair and yell "I like turtles" for 10 minutes if that works

Miles' job was not in any trouble had he lost. Would fans still want him gone? Yes, but a buyout wasn't happening this season unless it was a total disaster.

He would be on the hotseat though. The money from TAF and others would stop pouring in like before and that would get the attention of the A.D.

He would still be the coach next year but he would be on the hotseat. He needed this win and it bought him some more time.

THis is quite a bit different than what some have said about him being gone. There is NO CHANCE barring a complete meltdown down the stretch that CLM is fired from LSU. His buyout is huge and he is winning. Our team was 7-1 going into the game. We are 8-1 now. IIIIFFFF that offense continues to stink, Crowton will likely be gone. If JJ plays like yesterday for the rest of the year, Miles may have some options at OC.

What's so hard to believe about the story. The story, or what the story is about, is not even that important. It's just a story about the coach and team. Jeezum!

No way he would ask a team to play for him. No coach would ask that of the team.

It's fu cking made up. It never happened.

Big time coaches don't beg a team to win for them. In all your vast and varied athletic experience, how many times has one of your coaches asked you to win for them personally?

It was made up. Period. Tell your friend to go pi$$ up a rope because he is a liar. And you aren't very bright for repeating that shite.

Coolcorgi, it's time to be a man and stop spreading unfounded rumors like a little girl.
Now be honest with us. You made that up yourself didn't you?

First, I think it would be very interesting if Miles asked the team to win the game for him and the players responded with the BEST HALF OF FOOTBALL IN YEARS. If true, I'd say it's a huge vote of confidence for Les and how the players feel about him.

Second, for all the dicks on this thread claiming "it doesn't matter".. That's NOT the POINT. He asked if anyone could confirm the story and was opening the door for conversation about the topic.

I don't think he said that. I hope he didn't say that.

I might (might), think less of him if true. Doesn't sound right. Whining, begging etc.
