As the board's resident physical therapist I'll weigh in.

1) NO way in hell brees has a "fractured knee"

2) There could VERY WELL have been a sprain to the MCL (which is what I have suspected for weeks actually) which is why he was wearing the brace/short arming some passes as he is not getting full power due to his inability to pivot normally (watch the sports science video). Remember Brees relies so heavily on his mechanics due to his limited arm strength/lack of size.

3) If he legitimately had torn meniscus I think he would have just have had it cleaned out and missed a little time during the supposedly easy part of our schedule to be completely healthy for the stretch run.

Again I think a sprain was probable and that it is obviously getting better.

so rest easy everyone because I'm fricking awesome

First of all, I heard it wasnt a meniscus. It has been talked about that Drew will need microfracture surgery. This does not mean he has a "fracture" in his knee; it means there is an articular cartilage defect, which is possible in the future, but right now it may be a "bone bruise."

Brother Martin 8th grade team scrimmaged Newman 8th grade team...as a result Eli Manning not as good as his brother due to the punishment sustained at such a young age.

In reality it was probably closer to a tackle for a 1/2-1 yard gain with the 13 year old Eli Manning looking like he got the better of the 13 year old cornerback tigerinstaugustine who was 5-6 inches shorter and 25+lbs lighter.

Thankfully history tells it a different way.

Whats funny is 690 broke the MCL Sprain weeks ago and reported he would be wearing a brace and after first game advised he was short arming passes.

KW Spews his BS and Gus and Larry Holder advised they can't confirm it. The guys at his own station won't back him up. The guy sounds like the Ex-wife bent on revenge. Sad.

he could have a non-displaced fracture of the femoral condyle or tibia plateau which are areas of the knee which means a "bad bone briuse" hence the brace and not generatoring power with throws

I suppose...although you know he's is probably trying to sell the patella.

Brees definitely grabbed his knee during the atlanta game in either the 4th or OT and gave it a little valgus/varus type test while still standing upright as if he was testing it. He didn't come out for any plays though.

there worst thing, IMO, is KW claiming Brees was taking more pain meds than he should have, thus making his judgement bad. I cant believe more people arent talking about this.

Nice work tigerinstaugustine. Informative with a touch of hubris, but not narcissistic.

This, plus Kenny's mention of Brees' wife as if he knew something about Britney feeding Drew pain pills but was being "a good guy" by not totally going there.

It's such nonsense. Kenny went way too far, I mean his original report of the knee being more serious was likely somewhat accurate, but this stuff about Drew being incoherent in the Browns huddle and the implication that Britney was feeding him pills is horrendously out of line.

Kenny has alot of nerve coming out and saying shite like this considering his epic fricking meltdown on saints report which cost him his job. Wasnt he hopped up on pain killers at the time to?
