How about we start a new thread entitled "Cholly Mac was an elite coach of an elite program" and see where that takes us?

You're a freakin' idiot..........He's already said that if he had to do it over again, he'd have never left LSU.

LSU is a stepping stone job. Bill Arnsparger & Dietzel & Saban. All the coaches know what you are & how you treat your football coaches.

We won seven in a row against them in our last "run". We are also tied with Bama in all time winning percentage and Top 10 all time in wins. How that isn't elite I don't know.
Hey, I certainly wish Tennessee would rise up and be the Beast of the East. I hate Florida and would like for nothing more than to see them returned to pre Spurrier era irrelevance.
But so long as you have a coach more retarded than Les Miles, that seems unlikely.

Do I need to list stepping stone coaches at Bama, Florida, ND, etc?
Really?
Again.......dumb arse does not describe you two snappahead's.

Honestly, I have to say that this is the dumbest thread I've ever seen on this site

I agree with previous posters.....you must be about 12

your right, we should just accept the fact that we should be behind Bama and Auburn even though Louisiana produces more NFL talent than Alabama and is the only university playing major college football in the state. I see your point.

I openly admit Dooley is a dumbfrick, see the SEC Rant right now for proof. How that has to do with this dumbass thread I have no idea.

Do you even know who Dalton Hilliard is? You were born a year after he first started at LSU.
dumb threads are made by people like yourself, who have very limited knowledge & can't think for themelves mentality.

Stepping Stone?
Then if we are a stepping stone, what is Michigan State? A cupcake?
We have a 92K stadium and have won as many BCS titles since the birth of the system as any team. If we are a stepping stone, then I suppose Ohio State, Michigan, Oklahoma, and Florida State are each chopped liver and onions?
Saban left LSU for dual control of a storied NFL franchise and one that might be as well located and attractive as any in its league. He won't leave the college game again. Saban knows he made a mistake.
If that is your logic, then Spurrier used Florida as a stepping stone and so did Pete Carroll with USC. Seriously, that is one of your worst points of this whole thread.

This post is pretty short sided. Florida and Bama both started their run in the 90s, a complete decade before LSU. We have proven since 2001 with the right coaching and local talent base, we are capable of winning in this conference.
