the guys on the show were saying today that someone in the Saints front office(either Loomis or Payton) are using Glazer as a puppet to convey messages.

conspiracy #1: after the Hangover show reported on Brees knee injury a few weeks ago, shortly thereafter Glazer tweeted that Brees' knee was 100% and nothing was wrong.

conspiracy #2: happened yesterday, when Glazer reported Pierre Thomas was in Payton's doghouse because his rehab wasnt going as planned. Thomas had no idea anyone felt like this. The guys on the show were saying they think someone in the front office reported this to Glazer to light a fire under Thomas.

thoughts?

BTW i do think Brees knee was bothering him yesterday. Not to mention i think Ryan did a great job devising a gameplan.

Rob Ryan's defense was very good, but we played right into it.

I don't know...I guess being at work I never think about it or have the chance to listen. I've never heard anybody discuss it or mention it. Got to be popular since ESPN has a radio network.

Soph, i think they were on to something, esp regarding Brees' knee injury.

the Pierre Thomas theory is oddly strange, on both accounts.

Id say there might be truth to this, because the PT thing did seem awfully strange and out of nowhere

Also, I think Fujita had a solid effect on the gameplan and was able to convey a lot of knowledge to Ryan and the defensive coaches in order to devise a gameplan

There were several plays were it literally looked as if the Browns knew exactly what we were likely to run in that situation (like on Fujitas pick, for instance)

supposedly the WR ran the wrong route on the Fujita pick. i actually think it was Shockey, which is why he didnt really play much after that.

Supposed to read the LB's position, and either break inside or outside based on which way his shoulders are. He went inside when he should have went outside, and the ball was thrown outside.

Brees blamed the WRs in the postgame about not being precise with their routes, i think that was one of the plays he was talking about.

That play was huge though.

Wrong read by Brees or wrong route run by Betts (I thought). Fuji was just standing there and got a gift. On the sideline Brees kept to himself not saying a word after the play. Mad at himself?

You may be right, but on the Fujita pick it looked as if it was an option route intended to Betts not Shockey....with similar circumstances I would imagine

He has been doing that a lot this year. He has been off on his own and I haven't noticed him interacting much with the team. I'm not sure if there is anything to that or not.

it was actually a pretty good show today when i was listening. Larry was at the presser, so he wasnt in studio. It was just Kattengel and Jon Fourcade as a special guest.

but i agree it can get a little grab arse when larry and gus are together. Some of its funny, some is really lame.

brees' knee bothering him is about the only explanation for how bad he was yesterday.
