Dude, put aside your pride for like five seconds and just open up your eyes. Seriously, you might see what the rest of us clearly see.

ETA: This is the response you'd get from any coaches show regardless of who the HC was.
Thanks for your call, McLovin, I can't say that I agree with your assessment of LSU being middle of the pack. Our current SEC record is 4-1 and we just lost a hard fought game on the road to a very good Auburn team by 7. Cam Newton is a special player who is the odds on favorite to win the Heisman this year.
We finished in the top 25% of the league last year finishing third behind a Alabama team that we went toe to toe with and a Florida team that had arguably the best player in the history of the game.
We are still ranked in the top 10% of the D1 teams in the country so your "middle of the pack" comment seems well...ridiculous.
If you watched the game yesterday, JJ did some damage with the read option. He does still have a tendency to hold the ball too long on the pass but he has a want to improve and we are going to spend the next two weeks working hard and preparing for an excellent Alabama team. Lee continues to work hard but struggled against Auburn especially after his injury.
JJ ran the spread at Destrehan and led them to a state title. He still learning to play at this level but I gotta tell you nobody wants to win as much as him. As head coach, I'm responsible for everything that happens on this team, good or bad, as I've said before.
Thanks for listening.

1) How do you explain the decline of the program at a precipitous rate from the upper echilon of the SEC? to more of a "middle of the pack team"

2) Based on JJ's statistical woes and lack of points produced as the leader of this offense, how can you justify him being in the game, regardless of if he is in in a package situation.

3)Why is the offensive scheme that you have in place not tailored to the players that you have recruited? Would you take responsibility for what is seemingly a lack of adjustment on the coaches part over your tenure?

Dude, I don't have to put aside any pride. I'm a Tiger fan and I want them to win even if you and your BFF McLovin were co-HCs.
Your failure to answer my two simple questions speak volumes to your ability to discuss the issue.

I say that I agree with my assesment, and at least half of the fanbase does as well. You lose to the good teams (Bama and Florida last year, Aubie this year) when we used to be that good team, that team that everyone looked up to and wished that they could be, even Bama and Florida, and now it seems like an upset when we beat these teams, FAIL

You finished in the top 25%? Thats one win better than Tennessee was last year, top 10% of D1 teams, yea, so did boise, where did they finish in recruiting the last few years?
Your interviews, Mr. Miles....are ridiculous, as well as your offense

JJ did damage on the zone read, but he had his plays that made my brain almost explode as well. Until I see him successfully make reads at the college level, I have no faith in him. And being that you have two weeks to prepare, didnt you have two weeks to prepare for Auburn? Because I doubt you put a full week in for McNeese. We will see how you come out guns a blazing in two weeks.

JJ obviously did not run too complex of a scheme at destrahan, because he has some serious trouble making reads in the passing game. Maybe you should spend a little more time with him trying to explain to him his progressions. And you do not act responsible, remember ole miss last year, yea, way to throw your player under the bus. And I think JJ should have the position down path by now, for gods sake, he is through 3 1/2 years in this offense

To which Miles would reply "Well, Jim, I guess you can't please 'em all."
Jim responds, "Still can be a great season, Coach, but now, we'll go to the Evil Twin at the live mike."
And half of the listening audience leaves until Gordy and Charles come on...

What percentage would you say are "pleased". LSU makes a ton of money off of its brand. This is a great attitude during economic hard times

Season tickets sold out for 7th year. That means we weren't selling out season tickets with Saban here until we won the NC. Maybe that's when the bandwagoners got on board. Season Tickets Sales
#4 in Collegiate Licensing Sales Merchandise Sales
Don't know what true percentage of "pleased" fans are. I'd say the majority of Rantards and people who have 1210 AM in their phones speed dial are not but a shite load of fans were in Auburn this weekend and feeling pretty good about our chances.
My attitude is I'm going to continue to go see LSU games at home and on the road even if you are named the coach this week.

As will I, but I still do not agree on the way things are being run. I go because I support these kids and this university, but that does not mean I disagree with how things are run at the top

Nobody is saying that everything is just right with how some things are shaking out but I imagine, that everybody, including Miles, would agree that some things have to be fixed but be careful not to throw the baby out with the bath water.
But if anybody in this town or any bigtime college football town believes that a coach will answer anyone's "demands" at a radio show is delusional.

I will have to agree with you there, I would just like for once for him to man up and show the accountability that he preaches to his players. But I will continue to support this team, especially when St. Prick comes to town in two weeks. Sal Manilla, you should come over and get some high quality BBQ
