Not yet. People need to remember Auburn 2004. The voters in the harris and coaches seem to be doing the same thing they were doing during 2004. Flexing their guns to make sure an SEC doesn't go. We're already hearing espn say the SEC is weak this year. As long as Les keeps playing around with JJ we won't get any favor on the voting either.

Two people they'll send first: Oklahoma and Oregon

Auburn in 2004 won a lot more convincingly than this years LSU team.

Dude you're bat shite crazy. An Undefeated SEC team is a lock for the BCS NC. Too many good teams and games left to play NOT to move up. Also care to look at the SEC track record in that game.

the key is LSU is already #1 in 2 of the computers...that should only get stronger if they beat Auburn, Bama and Arky. A long ways to go though, I wouldn't be surprised if Boise and TCU were the only unbeatens left at the end of the year.

I agree. Besides did they change the method of picking the bcs after that year. Because if I remember correctly there was another team that coulda gotten in that year too

If an undefeated SEC team gets left out this year then no one will take the game or the system seriously.

It was somewhat understandable in 2004 because USC was such a dominant team that year.

There is no 2004 USC type of team out there right now that would make people forget about an undefeated SEC team.

Fab is correct. Undefeated SEC is a guarantee. Even a SEC- one defeated team is a possibility with the SEC's SOS.

Just too soon to say much. LSU's chances are centered around this weekend.

If LSU goes undefeated, would't you be happy with beating TCU or Boise in the Sugar?

After all, its not like LSU crushed UT.

If the shoe were on the other foot and Oregon beats Oregon State on a re-do with 13 men on the field, would you consider that "beating" Oregon State?

I think LSU would have its hands full with Boise or TCU.

I doubt Oregon makes it all the way thru, just like Oregon fans doubt we will beat auburn, bama, and arkies.

I don't think they can prevent the SEC champ, even if it is Vandy, from playing in the Title game.

This only applies to Auburn!

Other SEC teams can lose one or even two and still get in!

Auburn 2004 is one of several reasons that an undefeated SEC team will never be left out again

Undefeated SEC team is guaranteed BCSNCG. They won't make the same mistake twice with the SEC. That's why it is so good playing in this conference. it doesn't matter where you start or what your ranking is. If you navigate the SEC and come out undefeated, you're playing for the crystal ball.

Tthe SEC has won the title almost every year in the last decade. Humans will bump an undefeated SEC team every time. No way an undefeated team from SEC gets left out. Look at the remaining games for each team.

But Oklahoma is going to lose anyway.

Proof you never played sports. Everything counts and rules and judgement calls are part of the game. Oh, and there is only 1 winner.

because the east is beating the shite out of one another and not one is standing out in the top ten, it will be highly likely that the an undefeated sec team will not jump oregon/oklahoma.

The SEC was much different back in 2004. We are much improved and have much more depth than we did back then. Heck, just look at the west and that should tell you something. I truly think a sec west team with one loss would make it to the NC game.
