"My friends and fellow Fighting Tiger fans.." from Les Miles: 2024

"This is a day that I will never forget. Your gracious decision to name the hallowed field at Tiger Stadium in my honor is the most humbling tribute that I could ever receive. And yet I know that it is not Les Miles that is honored here, but the men who have given their courage, sweat and blood on this hallowed groud, the me who have made the LSU Tigers the greatest team of our time.
"Neither could we have achieved the mountain top of the college football world without the support of our fans--the fans who have built this 115,000 seat monument to our gridiron glory, the largest stadium in the land, and they have filled those seats every single game since its completion in 2020.
"While we hail the six national championships that have been been won on the field during my years at LSU, all of those other years have seen teams of merit and achievement, dare I call each of them "damn strong teams," as that has been true of every team to take this field.
"I have been the luckiest man on earth to be the head coach at LSU, and as I exit this noble place to enjoy my grandchildren, and the future, but I will never forget you for this kindness, and I will be a Tiger forever."
(Les Miles waves hat to the cheering stadium, and exits Tiger Stadium and Les Miles field)

I just threw up in my mouth a little bit. Tiger Stadium should never be named after anyone, ever, period.

He better win at least three more titles if he wants that. I mean hell..Skip won us 5 baseball and he only got a street named after him.

He has a want for this to happen!
Let's not get ahead of ourselves. He's only two weeks removed from the Dumbass Miracle.

With three more titles, I would be willing to name the physical plan after him...

I wouldn't name a Restroom stall after Miles. But if I did it would be called "the mad hatter shitter"

It is kind of funny how a victory over a mediocre team has caused rantards to want to start naming the stadium after the guy. This after 3 clock issues in the last 9 games and certainly another still to come this year.

Tiger Stadium does not need to be named after Miles.
Besides, he already has one named after him in Denver - Miles High Stadium!
