How did Fla not know it was a fake?

If you watched the kicker, he wasn't lining up the kick. He was called over and the coach whispered in his ear. He nods and runs up to a lineman and whispers something to him and then whispers something to his holder!
All this time FLA didn't even almost realize he was NOT ever paying attention to lining up or anything.
It was shocking, I was in a room with 5 people and 3 of us yelled fake before he even lined up, and one was my 79 yr old mother.
Did everyone else see this, especially TV viewers?

Less has the inate ability to make an opposing coaches IQ lower than his. Most college kickers are good for 52 yards.

Cause who calls a fake in that situation? Plus he was prolly laughing at Miles for icing his kicker.

Nothing to do with our kicker or the distance, it was the actions of the kicker, watch it again on replay if you get a chance, it seriously looked like a qb in a no huddle offense running around telling everyone the play, and that is something a kicker NEVER does. Very obvious.
And that toss was so damn close that LSU couldn't have argued if it were called the other way.

They did not callt he fake during the timeout. Miles called Jasper over as he was jogging back out. The camera was capturing it all. MAybe it was so obvious that they thought it was a joke.

I will tell you why.
1. UM is an idiot.
2. UM knew that LM would use a time out to conserve the clock if LSU was going to attempt a first down play. When we didn't do this obvious thing he wrongly assumed that LM knew how to manage the clock.
Which brings us back to #1 again. Idiot.

Did FLA have a timeout left?
That would have sucked if they would have called the ïcing the kicker"type timeout right before the snap. We would have showed our hand.

Okay, so FLA's two options were:
Come with the heat to block a kick that Jasper CAN make and leave yourself open to a fake that happens 1 out of 20 kick attempts in that range
or
play it safe and possibly allow Jasper to kick the 53 yd FG, giving LSU more opportunity to win.
They went with the lesser of the two evils.
