How about these:
Total defense - 6th in nation
Scoring defense - 5th in nation
Rushing defense(yds/gm) - 6th in nation
Sacks - 6th in nation
Tackles for loss - 7th in nation
Defense wins championships my friend
Total defense - 6th in nation

left out rushing. You cannot make a credible argument about sports by cherry picking your stats.
