Anyone can manipulate numbers.
JJ was on the field for 2 TDs.
Lee was on the field for 0.
No need to manipulate these:
Jefferson - 2 interceptions in 10 attempts (20% of his passes intercepted)
Lee - 1 interception in 23 attempts (4% of his passes intercepted)
Jefferson - 2 turnovers
Lee - 1 turnover
Jefferson - 7 incompletions (10 throws)
Lee - 7 incompletions (23 throws)
Jefferson - 3 yards per attempt
Lee - 8 yards per attempt

JJ did absolutely nothing on the TD drive but be in the middle of the most confusing clusterfrick I've ever witnessed. That was Lee's drive.
I know. I was responding to the other guy who tried to cite three turnovers on JJ. JJ threw two picks. He didn't stick the ball out and fumble it stupidly. No reason to fault him for that... just as there is no reason to give him credit for the TD that won the game.

that can be the disparity. You move the chains more often....you get more plays.
How man series did each start?

yes there is. You made a direct comparison with an unbalanced design. try again. provide the answers to my questions on page 1.
Did it.
More plays for Lee.
More yards per play for JJ.

Let me check.
BTW: My point here is getting misconstrued. I'm not saying JJ IS SO MUCH BETTER THAN LEE.
I'm saying either brings something to the table that the other isn't... thus the reason both continue to play.

Sorry I don't like when I point out something that destroys a stupid argument and then said stupid person tries to pretend that they aren't stupid.

JJ has to improve to keep his job. Well, with any other coach. He isn't playing well enough to start anywhere.

I have different stats, but I come to the same general conclusions:
When Jefferson was QB, LSU rushed for 194 yards on 22 carries. That's almost a 9 yard average.
When Lee was QB, LSU rushed for 25 yards on 14 carries. That's not even a 2 yard average.
The results don't change much even if you take out Jefferson's 83 yard run: LSU rushed for 111 yards on 21 carries. That's a 5.29 yard average.
With Jefferson as QB, LSU runs 32 plays for 224 for a 7.00 yard/play average.
With Lee as QB, LSU runs 37 plays for 210 for a 5.68 yard/play average.
* NOTE: I haven't double checked my numbers. I may have mistake on a play. These are only preliminary calculations.

You guys are really reaching to try to defend Jefferson now.

Dan, its a single game. Its not enough of a baseline for Lee. I also doubt teams are focusing on JJ for the running game, thus giving Ridley a couple less defenders to worry about.

Do the penalties and sacks come into play with these numbers? If not, I thought we defnitely were backed up when Lee was under center...
Based on the numbers are you a fan of the 2 QB system, assuming its run correctly (if thats possible)?
Would you rather just stick with JJ and see if he gets into some sort of groove?

Was the playcalling balanced for each in terms of run/pass?

Lee going in for the last 2 drive shows me that the coaches had more confidence in him to go win the game than JJ. JJ will start, and come in to give a running threat occasionally. Lee will get twice as many pass attempts as JJ.

I cant believe you people are actually having this argument.
Only on the rant....
Its this simple. If you watched this game as well as the last 3, its obvious at this time who's better for LSU's offense.
If you dispute that, you just might be a little

Does this count the sack on Lee?
Because that could throw the numbers off with such a small sample.

Lee capped two of JJ's drives when we got in & long situations.
JJ capped the game winner for Lee.

JJ isn't playing well enough to continue to get all the snaps. Period.

Lee took two sacks. But I didn't count them in my rushing total on the first page because I just counted Ridley's plays.
I did, however, count it off for the total yardage.
