What is the more impressive sports accomplishment?

Florida State's run of 14 straight top 5 finishes from 1987-2000 or the Atlanta Braves winning 14 consecutive division titles from 1991-2005?

FSU. They had to replace great players every year

As much as I hate Baseball I have to go with the Braves. College football has to many outside people responsible for rankings it is hard to even take them serious.

It's all about the end results:
FSU's 2 Titles > Atlanta's 1 Title
FSU's 2 Titles > Atlanta's 1 Title

and FSU played for one more.

I say FSU because ATL had Maddux, Glavine, Smoltz, Chipper, in their primes for basically that entire period.
While Bowden had to replace his elite guys like Ward, Dunn, Brooks, Peter Warrick, etc, on the fly and keep winning

they also lost to OU the next year, I thought you were saying the played for more titles than the Braves

Easily FSU.
The Yankees have much more impressive accomplishments than the Braves over that time period.

1 out of 5 is 20%. 5 out of at least 100 is 5%. Now, of course, there are some teams that realistically have no shot, but still, it provides some sort of idea, and even 5 out of 50 is still just 10%.
Plus, the fact that it's so hard to be that consistently great in college football, with the constant shuffling of players. Every team has a down year or two every decade, even the great programs. And really, it doesn't even take a "down" year to end that streak. It could be a really, really good year where you finish 11-2 and number 6 in the country and the streak's over. I've got to go with FSU here. The Braves' was impressive, of course, though.

no, i just meant they had the opportunity to win more than they actually did...not that they had more appearances. I actually have no clue how many word series the braves played in...i only remember 4

I agree with this. Its shame we didn't see how good that Expo team could have been.

Braves all the way. I'm a Royals fan and would love for them to win 2 consecutive division titles
