A good ~8.5 miles this morning. Now I'm frying two turkeys. Friends dad from Boston is in town and I told him that part of our thanks fot him letting us stay with him after the marathon would be to fry a turkey for him. Gotta keep my word, but Damn its a little warm for this.

Hoping to improve the eating, drop a lot of the carbs, and finish it up by my birthday (end of July)

The egret has landed in sandestin. Even this trip didn't motivate me to get into posing form. Luckily it looks like no one else did either.

Ill try to find something. When you're unhappy with yourself you don't take as many pics. ill see if I can find one. New phone doesn't help. I'll try to remember to look.

Thanks again, mouton

had jambalaya that maw in law made and couldn't resist stuffing my face. Jambalaya, home made chilli and red beans. I never know when to stop.

Just have to have a good fresh salad and chicken today.

Also a swim day today with the baby should help.

Okay, I found a before pic. Cut the top of my head off but you get the idea.

Before: 245

After: 178

Thanks. I don't feel like a different person, just feel like myself again. You don't realize you're getting fat until you're there

Back on paleo today. Gonna hit the gym tonight. I'm gonna go back to what was working really well for me once I got in the groove. Paleo dieting, hitting the gym 3x a week with full body workouts, but don't hit muscles to failure.

get on it bro

Congrats on your loss as well. Much more effort put into yours than mine. Can't help but respect that.

I'm about half way through.

He's written another one called Good Calories, Bad Calories, but this one is supposedly more accessible.

His major points:

Calories-in/Calories-out is in no way linked to weight loss

There is no linear connection between exercise and weight loss

He goes through the science (in a digestible way) of it all. More or less, people don't get overweight from "overeating." They get overweight from WHAT they eat.

He's a big proponent of cutting carbs, and having a rich protein diet. So lots of meats, skip starches and sugars.

Still finishing, but he's made a pretty compelling argument.

put my steak and "gravy" (ie pan drippings) over cauliflower tonight. Made low carb "pizza" and peanut butter "bread" last night. It has been a month and I am down 10 pounds. Starting month two tomorrow.

Woke up late, forgot to weigh this AM. But I hit my macros, stayed under cals, and hit the gym. Good day yesterday.
