What kind of food and how much you willing to spend?

You could eat at anywhere from Commanders Palace to Domilise's.

Irene's and ask for Joseph as your waiter-he's the best!

Depends on what you want. If dressy 5 star french quarter/ downtown I say Stella,Bayona, 7 on Fulton. Uptown area, go with August. Now, my favorite place is The Pelican Club in Exchange Alley near Bourbon and Hotel Monteleone. Second is NOLA. If you haven't been to NOLA, and want some good casual food go with Mother's or Acme Oyster House. These are just off the top of my head......

Is not close to Uptown. For Uptown higher end places would include; Gautreau's, Commander's, Lilette, La Petite Grocery, Patois, Clancy's, Coquette, Vizard's and Bistro Daisy.

My bad there Mr. Mapquest, August is out of the french quarter, closer to the other side of Canal. I was thinking of One on Hampson?(sp.)

it was apparently a cutdown towards you since you have too much knowledge on what neighborhoods restaurants are located in.

As you know, I rarely go to NOLA. Well my friend is getting married and we're going wedding gown shopping there. I was so pumped because I thought we were going on a Sunday and I could bring the wedding party to Patois brunch.. but we're going on a Saturday and not staying the night.

Yo, glass. I've never been there because some friends described it as competent but boring. Should I give it a try?

It ain't Clancy's in terms of atmosphere. Small intimate place that puts out great food.

Go to Boucherie for lunch on Saturday. Or Tartine. They are both really good and a great value.
