From JC Shurburtt's Twitter:

Glad to see we are still very much in the mix, even though I still find it very hard to pry him from USCe

a strong season this year and potentially winning the west/sec would take this class to another level. Could potentially be one of the greatest ever if all the pieces fell right.

A D-line class of:

LE - Clowney
DT - Freak
DT - Jernigan
RE - Rasco

would be just plain sick, and outside of Clowney, I think the rest falls into place

Mingo will likely always be a 3rd pass rush end, and if he adds some weight, I would love to see him at LB with his speed. Also, it's not like Montgomery can play every down either

I don't think Clowney would beat out Montgomery anytime soon. The dude is a stud.

No he doesn't. Being an 'every down DE' doesn't mean you play EVERY down. He rotates like everyone else does on the line.

No doubt, but I don't think the talent that Clowney brings should be underestimated. Whatever program he goes to, the incumbent DE's should be worried about their jobs.

This. He is pretty much unstoppable if not double-teamed, at least in the game I saw.

with clowney we would definitly have more flexibility with keke mingo. granted, monty and clowney probably arent your typical 3-4 DE's, but i believe Chief would have some fun with that idea on those 3rd and 5's and longer.

Could Mingo play the same role that Francois does now, granted that he puts on some weight?

Why does Mingo need to gain weight since he is like 17 pounds heavier than Francois is right now? Not to mention that Francois also took his place at the LB position.
