pp7 will bring down the house when he rushes for 7 carries for 136 yds.....including a 68 yd break away.....death valley will explode....
if he is the best ever at lsu why not showcase his skills ultimately?....put him at rb....

He's already risen to stardom pretty well by playing defense and special teams.

Are you nuckin' futs? PP7 will not be playing even one down at tailback. You can bring that to the bank.

Just one more reason to impose a 500 min post limit before you can start a thread.

We don't get the ball to our offensive playmakers. How the hell we gonna fit PP7 in?

he will never know the playbook in time.

If Ford cant learn it in a year in a year and a half, how will PP7 learn it in a week or two? This thread makes me

I believe this theory was originally floated by none other than Glenn Guilbeau in the Shreveport Times earlier this week. While putting the team’s best athlete at tailback might seem enticing, it has many drawbacks.
#1 - You will be taking one of the best cover corners in the country off the field on defense. PP may be a beast, but he can't play every down. You would have to rest him by not letting him play CB.
#2 - You will be taking one or two of the top 10 athletes on the team (Ridley, Ford, Etc) and benching them. If PP is your starting TB, then Ridley and Ford are going to ride the bench. They can't play any other positions.
#3 - You are going to substantially limit your play calling on offense. PP does not know the entire offensive playbook and has never had to worry about picking up a blitzing defender. There is more to playing TB than running the ball.
That being said, I do think PP will get some touches on offense at some point, but it will not be at TB (at least not on a regular basis).
