Is everyone discounting how well UNC played during that second

half? They played pretty damn good and Yates played lights out. NO one could have expected Yates to play that well or the backups (and in some cases the backups backups) to play that well. They looked pretty damn good. IF they can get their team to play like that, they could still challenge in the ACC.
Not an excuse, we should have still won handedly, but UNC also played well. Too many are caught up on the whole roster adjustment rather than looking at the team that showed up.

Career game for Yates, and I highly doubt he duplicates it again.

we made TJ frickING YATES look like an all-american. That kid is garbage.

No way does he do it again. UNless he has drastically improved from last year.

I mean they were throwing to a few 4 star recievers, even though little was out there WR weren't chumps. There offense could be good
Yates is the key last year 15td 17 ints but a year before that he was 11 td 4 int before an injury

No. TJ Yates did that. His passes were perfect all night.

Too early to tell, how will UNC fare going forward. I assume some of the players will come back but Austin and Little are probably done for awhile. Next up - Ga Tech, does not bode well for a defense missing so many trying to defend the triple option attack.
Everyone thought Washington was all that last year after the game and they had a losing record even though they upset USC.

I can play 10 yards off a WR and give up 5 yard slants and get double moved all night too. Dude, open your eyes. That kid is not good. In his previous 3 seasons he had passed for more than 300 yards against squads like ECU when they still sucked horribly and Virginia.

The coaching staff should prepare like they expect our next opponent to play well.
Were they expecting UNC to roll over?

They'll come on late, maybe knock off the U or something but its hard to tell, Yates has pulled off some wins, even when they haven't been pretty

What does that have to do with anything? I wasn't talking about preparation at all.

Herbstreit said it lete--why was the TE getting clean releases? He was 4 inches taller and 30 pounds heavier than LSU's biggest DB, and he proved he could catch. Unless he fell down on his routes or dropped the balls (last two plays), it was a 7-yard pitch and catch.

His receivers were wide open the second half.

the coaching staff got complacent and let a shitty QB take advantage of a soft defense at the end. Bring the pressure until the game is in hand with your starters...

I agree. Like I said in my original post, we should have won by a lot more.

Kid shouldn't have thrown for more than 200 on us. I'd like to see the stats from halftime and the end of the third quarter...

You said nobody could've expected Yates to play so well.
I said it should've been expected.
