When LSU Wins

Last week, I suggested this very thing on this board, and some, certainly not all, of you thought I was crazy and posted some unkind things.

Well, either Hotard got his column idea from me, or......

Don't give yourself too much credit there champ, it didn't take Einstein to think up such a scenario.

That is a Bush League article to write in the home town paper 4 days before kick off. We all know that shite already. Hotard should have saved a tree with this article.

LSU will be tested plenty playing Bama, Florida, Auburn, Arkansas, West Virginia, etc. A single game against UNC with potential suspensions looming isn't a big deal to me.

Sorry, but a win over a depleted UNC squad is still > than a win over San Jose State, UL-L, Arkansas State, or any of the other cream puffs most of the SEC is playing this week.

The people making an issue of this are the ones who look to discredit any little thing Miles does.

I see it like this:

If LSU beats UNC and goes on to an undefeated season, UNC's status won't matter, LSU will be in the BCSCG.

If LSU beats UNC and goes on to lose to Alabama and Florida, LSU will be out of the NC picture, and probably out of the SECC picture and the win over UNC won't have any bearing on LSU's chances for the SECC.

If LSU loses to UNC and goes on to win all of its SEC games, the loss to UNC won't matter with regard to the SECC.

If LSU loses to UNC AND loses to Alabama and Florida - who cares?

In short, one game does not a season make, and LSU has bigger fish to fry than UNC - win or lose.

frick it if they do consider it "tainted win". When the Tigers beat the breaks off that overrated arse team the computer sees it the same, regardless of who cheated on what test

...and make no mistake, your LSU Fighting Tigers will stomp a mudhole in that arse

It's not a tainted win. It's not like these kids from North Carolina aren't playing because they're hurt or sick.

They broke rules, several of them apparently. So what if LSU doesn't get as much credit for the win. At the end of the season the win is all that matters.

As posted above, this one game isn't likely to make or break the season. LSU doesn't have to worry about the quality of wins unless some crazy scenario like 2007 happens again. Which is highly unlikely.
