CHAVIS - "This defense is as big and strong as any I've been

around and maybe as fast as any I've had." This was part of an article written by Randy Rosetta and is on page 9 of the ADVOCATE Football 2010 editon August 17 (Tuesday.)
I also learned that Miles was in the trucking business way back when.
Other cool things from Football 2010 was a quote that Peterson said. He said that "He (Miles) teaches us how to be responsible, and everybody on this team looks up to him." "He's like a second father."
I'm not always a big fan of Coach Miles but articles like this make me over look his inconsistent coaching. I am now learning that what he lacks in coaching, he makes up for in character. My name is Raparoot and I'm a former Negatiger.....

Good to see Peterson stepping up and leading with quotes like these (even if he does not really think this).

I can't wait to hear all the tards talk shite about the man that the best player in college football said this about. THAT'S why we keep bringing in top 10 recruiting classes folks.

Miles said something exactly like this last year, only it was about the Oline...

Good thing nobody quoted Miles in this post.

our younger players are raising the average
the size of our D line is still an issue for me

Well then it is good that Chavis said it and not Miles.

I'll refer to you as Reformed Negatiger. I like reformed better than former. It is refreshing to read some positive things about Miles. In the lastest Tiger Rag issue, Stephen Rivers said the one thing that impressed him was the family atmosphere that Miles has created at LSU. Great to hear things from players and not from outside sources with an axe to grind.

The D is solid.

Right. I think most people will agree that our D's improvement from last year is one of the few things hyped up this preseason that will actually prove to be true.
As far as our OL, though... At least they're facing one of the toughest DL's everyday...
Although, it's still not Bama.

That's impressive considering he coached Hainesworth at Tennessee.

I think this defense has the potential to be very good. Aggressiveness on third down will go a long way in determining how good they really are.

Tough talk for a guy on the computer. FWIW

The D is solid.
is it?
Not exactly. It's more of a magnetorheological fluid, a type of "smart fluid" which, when subjected to a magnetic field, greatly increases its apparent viscosity.
And, generally, since the D exists within the earth's natural electro-magnetic field, it could be considered a viscoelastic solid.
I hope this helps.

I think that's the trend. The good teams are moving away from solid defenses and moving towards smart fluid defenses.

Les could use some smart fluid
