Rohan vs Booty
quote:that was a good QB battle since both had distinct talents, and both were great.
Jamacus vs Flyn
Jefferson vs. Lee is a crappy QB battle since both have been mediocre.

Not hardly....these were not really close..
I believe most who have watched can see that Lee is doing very well...mostly a mind game with him getting over the past. In my opinion the practices this week will determine the starter for the UNC game.

Essentially, they'll likely always be a battle at the qb position.

Rohan vs Booty
no contest. Rohan was a beast.
I don't even recall that being a controversy- evryone (including myself) felt Rohan was light-years ahead of Booty. Booty for all his H.S. Top Player status, lost most of his game on the baseball field (which wasn't much) & by the time he arrived at LSU, he never could shake all the rust off from being away. I hate to slam the guy, because I know he loved LSU, and he tried his best, but Booty never came close to the expectations he had out of high school. With his H.S. stats, he was to be our Peyton Manning, but it just didn't happen...

One coach ended his tenure trying to hitch his wagon to Josh Booty train. Another turned it around when he realized that fan favorites don't necessarily make good QBs and switched from Booty to Davey after a whole year.
For two full years, From second half of Auburn game when Davey was benched till second half of Ga Tech game, Booty was the preferred candidate.
Davey was not considered a good practice player. Later was labeled a gamer.

I guess you didn't realize that Josh Booty was the first First Team All-SEC QB at LSU since Tommy Hodson.
