No, remember they flash blacked to him strangling his sister at her restaurant years ago because he found out she was a "fang banger"

The new waitress Holly was in the books, but wasn't a main character or anything, so who knows what the show holds for her part?

This episode should have been titled "Russell goes off the reservation". Holy shite I did not see that coming, but big kudos for the likely everyone against Russell storyline. Having read all of the books I must say that the writing for this show has added many subplots and characters that are very welcome.

The Tiffany line...

Russell for President of the world.

I am going to be pissed when they kill Russell. He and his Crystal jar boyfriend need their own talk show.

That isn't a spoiler. I just assume Russell will be killed to close out the season.

I think I hate the Jason/Crystal storyline more and more each episode. This dude has nailed some hotties and he is hung up on a methhead from the boondocks.

Sam beat the shiiite out of that dude though! I'm sure there will be payback coming in some form or another.

Jessica looks hotter each episode! I want to see her with less clothes soon or I'm gonna go nuts.

Still not sure about the new waitress, someone last week threw out "witch". I guess we will see, she did seem very interested in Arlene.

Overall great episode, Russell is a great character and it is shaping up to be a great final few episodes. This season is so much better than the Mary Ann storyline from last season. I loved getting the peek at The Authority, they seem like a cool storyline in the future.

I hope not, but it's possible. The Maenad seemed like a really powerful enemy that (IMO) was killed off rather easily. I hope they don't do the same w/ Russell. I would hope that a 3000 year old vampire wouldn't be taken out easily or quickly.

I agree, even Eric confessed he can't do it alone. Loved Nan calling him a "whiny, little bitch"!! I wonder how old she is supposed to be, she didnt seem to intimidated by Eric, even though she did have a vampire SWAT team with her. Russell is a badass and will probably go out in a blaze of glory.

From the Comic-Con footage before the show, I would think Russell might be around for a bit. Seems like only the major players were there. But then again he is a major role in this season and that might be it for him. Kinda like Mary-Ann.

I just assume he is another mary anne and will be killed by season end, but maybe not. They could extend him to next season in some vampire war capacity. But I think that would be too broad for the show which mostly focuses on a small town.

So I think he is toast by season end.

I think the new waitress is just being set up for next season. Maybe in the last episode of the season she will do something at the end.

I agree the Jason / unattractive chick plot stinks. She definitely looks rode hard and put up wet.

Preface: None of this is in the book so no book spoilers in my post.

I'm thinking Russell and his wolves vs Eric and Sookie's kin in a battle royale.

I would hope that there are lots of more powerful vampires in the vampire government than Russell.

Otherwise, that would imply that one of the most powerful vampires in the world is relegated to just being the King of Mississippi.

Jessica is hot, but not Christina Hendricks hot.

Godric was pretty old. Remeber his quote to Rev. Steve?

Rev. Steve Newlin: "Kill me. Do it. Jesus will protect me."

Godric: "I'm actually older than your Jesus. I wish I could've known him, but I missed it."

Why is Eric bleeding from the ears and nose?
Pam is a fricking smoking hot cougar
this show is fantasy, who cares about roads and relative distances. Seriously, not important

Wait, you mean the one that was voted most desirable woman in the world? Can't really say I agree with that one. She is pretty smokin though

He stayed up all day. Not "dying" during the day makes them sick and weak.

Probably because he didn't get any sleep. Pam woke up from the spaceship time capsule looking coffin and asked him if he slept any. He probably stayed awake in case Russell showed up after Eric threw him under the bus while talking to the authority. The same thing happened to Bill when Lorena held him captive in the hotel in Dallas. They get weak and bleed from their ears and nose when they don't get sleep.

Given the short history of the show, they prob finish Russell off at the end of this season. Each season is a diff book correct?

Can't believe no one mentioned that naked girl Nan had in her car.

Brings up the point again about all vamps being gay, or bi. I guess it's like Talbot said, after a certain amount of time, the only thing new is someone new.
