And the offense's running game still sucked.

So Miles was ho-hum on JJ and JL, but when ZL is mentioned, he starts talking about moxie and complimenting his skills immediately. He had to talk up the first two on the depth chart (as much as he could) to say "both looked good, AT TIMES", which to me screams "holy FRICK they sucked".

I like both JL and JJ, but it would really be nice to hear something good about them every once in a while. No matter how good your defense is, 10 for 22 is not a good stat.

I am by no means a chicken little fan, but shite is kinda concerning when you don't ever hear of improvement, and the best things said about a QB are about your true freshman.

With all this said, here's to a great season!

Miles said the quarterbacks combined to complete 10 of 22 passes for 150 yards and one touchdown with one interception, which was returned for a touchdown by Patrick Peterson.

That means that outside of James Wright's TD reception, passing was 9-21 for 108 yards and 1 INT.

Definitely worrisome.

sounds pretty bad. all backs were about even in production. not many receivers made plays.

shep 1 catch for 18 yards.....this is my concern. needs to get touches in a variety of ways. i'm sure they are holding back a bit here and trying to execute the basics, but that is not good.

I refuse to reserve judgment till the poster who knows more tells me what he thinks first... Since he played and knows his stuff and did not want to brag.

it would be easy to get frustrated with QB play, but the D does have the potential to be special

considering he's likely to be offered a couple mil to go elsewhere I'd be talking him up too...actually I'd be sending him hookers and shite...

same thing was said for last year. The offense was mediocre and the defense was phenomenal. It turns out the offense was putrid and the defense was mediocre at best.

Haha. Well said. I don't know that they would do that too much though. It wouldn't be hard to believe that he is close to their skill level given the fact that we have heard nothing of improvement.
