Reports that he suffered a broken jaw in the AM practice. Not a good position to be taking injury hits. No word on how long he may be out.
I believe the media gets to meet with Miles after this evening's practice, so I'm sure he'll be asked about it. And he'll say that Baker got a little nicked.

Damn...I hope Kevin Minter can step in, and I hope he isn't out long.

Give him Rickey Jackson's old face mask and send him back out there.
J/K...Sucks for him though.

Even if true, will not keep him off the field.

You can recover from a broken jaw and be back on the field in three weeks?

Yeah what about practice and more pieces to the defense that Chief is to install?

Well...now that it is out, tell us about it. Is it serious?

I don't really know. But I do know that drinking nothing but Muscle Milk for 6 weeks is gonna suck for him.

So would the adjusted LBer corp have Francois/Kelvin at OLB and Minter at MLB? I have a hard time believing that Taj Jones, Josh Johns, or Lamin Barrow are ready to start just yet.

with Minter dropping 15 lbs, is he in the mix at all to be at OLB, or is he strictly in the middle?

This is why burning the redshirt on a guy like Jacob Cutrera for a few meaningless snaps during his true freshman season is a bad idea.
It would be nice to have a couple more experienced LB's right now.

I'd love to see the entire LB Corps in that! It was very definition of intimidating!

From the games of his I saw, he's strictly a MLB candidate. He was borderline a DE for the. I don't think he could play well enough in space for us to put him at OLB.
I'd look for Sheppard to move outside and Minter/Francois to be your other two LBs.

Lamin Barrow working out in the afternoon there.

Rivers' rookie season was abruptly ended due to a broken jaw after a hard block by Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Hines Ward in Week 7. Despite missing the final nine games
So hes gonna be out 3 months at least
Hopefully he will be ready for the bowl game
