Ok so Les is for sure under the gun. But as a football program as a whole, most of the country isn't expecting much out of us. Predicting us, what, at 4th in the west? Anyone think this could actually be a good thing seeing as how all we can really do is exceed expectations? And maybe we'll get overlooked by some teams...just a thought

I agree. Staying under the radar and never let'em see you coming!

I have a good feeling about this season!

nobody's overlooking us. our first couple difficult opponents, UNC and WV, will be playing to make names for their teams and conferences against an SEC big boy. MSU will be gunning hard. as will UT. maybe if we've dropped a few by the time we hit the Bama/ AU/ Arky stretch, and they're looking real good, they might slightly overlook us. but I doubt it.

4th of 6 in our division. Even ARK and AU got more respect.

Les coaches as an underdog, thinks like an underdog, and embraces being the underdog. So yes, he probably will do better than if he was favored in those games.

If LSU wins games, and wins with some strength - surprisingly - we will quickly climb in the polls and become a "come-back" story, with few overlooking us.

I agree, lessening the expectations from all around college football about LSU is a great thing. Get'em Les!

We're LSU...there's always a target on our back.

Louisiana State is currently the underdog vs all 6 of the ranked teams on the schedule.

I'm not saying our program is on a decline, because if it wasn't for the QB problems we'd be a top 5 pre season ranked team. I'm simply saying that with all the media predicting us to not do any better than last year, it could be a possibility we win a few games that would surprise some people, but not surprise us. I personally think we will do much better than expected and will watch every game expecting to get the "W"!

I think the poor preseason predictions may have put a chip on their shoulder. If so, we may have a very focused and intense team. This is further backed up by minimal off season incidences of mischief and some outstanding work in the conditioning program. Sounds like a team that is tired of hearing the smack. I sure hope this is the case.

I think its good for inspiration but with the name on the sides of our helmets, we wont get overlooked.
