Now, my 9 year old daughter would say Matt Flynn .. just yesterday she said that she wished that he could still play for LSU .. I said "yeah, at this point, me too!"

I honestly would have loved to have seen Tommy Hodson play with the kind of talent we have now.

That would have been something to see.

I've always liked Hodson even before I know why because he was a hero back home. I ended up interviewing him freshman year of college for an english paper. Really nice guy.

Our guys have a ton of potential now. RR and RS will probably be great, but Hodson had at least as much talent on his team, probably more. No better receiver than Wendell Davis. See nfl careers of Harvey Williams, Eddie Fuller and Brian Kinchen. Linemen Andolsek, Albergamo, Norwood. Other skill players Rogie Magee, Tony Moss, Sammy Martin. I'd trade our current offense for that one without question.

Hodson bc im related to him but I was too young to watch him in person (but have watched all his games on tape), therefore i'd have to go with JR.

It's hard to separate Hodson, Tyler, and Davey. Hodson and Tyler were forced to play as Freshmen and performed exceptionally well. Davey gave a lot of thrills. His plays to Reed in the Georgia Tech game were two of the greatest college football highlights in my recollection over about forty years of watching football.

My personal favorite would be Rohan Davey followed by Mauck, Tyler and Hodson.

For sure...

2. Rohan to Reed... LSU returning to the glory days...

3. Burt Jones don't really remember his time at LSU but remember watching in the NFL...

4. Herb Tyler.... because this was the Faulk (family has known KF since his days at the Cro) era and LSU turned the football world upside down in its prime time defeat of the mighty Florida Gators... And the goal post came down...

5. Flynn.... Waits his trun and becomes a 5 year starter behind LSU's biggest bust and goes on to lead the team through one of the most memorable seasons in LSU history..... to win the BCS!

Maulk.... same reason as above.

I think Herb was forced into action about half-way through the season; however, Hodson was not "forced to start" as a freshman. I beleive Hodson was a redshirt freshman and beat out Guidrey for the job to start the season. I'm sure somebody will correct me if I'm wrong.
