Tired of reading through 50 threads looking at trade ideas. Lets play MSB GM and come up with the best deal.

a deal with the Nets involving Brook Lopez would be intriguing

Never wanted a Hornets Board, but how about a CP3 Board.

Let Demps do what he's supposed ot be good at, build it like SanAn and OKC. Move him for [lottery] picks + okafor. The NYC teams are flush with money after striking out. The absolute easiest way to increase the price of something is buy flooding the market with money (this is basic economic theory). Start a bidding war between the two teams that 1) have LOTS of money, 2) owners that want a star player, 3) are in the other conference. If you have any faith that the Hornets will remain a going concern and that Demps is capable, this seems like a win on all parts.

Not gonna say what pieces nor team. But, due to CP3's choices of elite contenders(sans the two NYC teams in rebuild mode..yet large market..and one with Amare waiting on Melo) for next team destinations. Thus, mostly poor late 1st round draft slots of those type elite teams.
I'd say at least one viable starter(a big), one or two quality roster players(the two..depending upon if NO is able to attach a poor contract like Okafor's), and two picks(one a #1..the other a #2..can be spread over two or three year's drafts). IE..a 3 or 4 for 1, or 5 for 2 trade, in total.
Someone between Dolan, The Ruskie, DeVos, Buss, Cuban, etc..will eventually ante-up. Especially, if once into the season, and a aging D-Fish, Kidd, or a Jameer Nelson re-injures himself..and the season's hopes start circling the drain.

The worst possible thing IMO would be for the Hornets to give in to Paul's demands for specific teams and give him away for less than he's worth. I'm pretty confident though that our new GM won't want to go down in history of making his first move a franchise killer.

I agree, and was totally against the insulting offers by other teams for CP3 of recent.
And with two years left on his contract, there is no need to rush, and make a "Cliff Lee to Seattle" trade. There will be a solid offer between now and CP3's contract expiration, to get a great deal. Any rushed move, or poor trade, would be inexcusable.

This.
A guy who made his name as part of building a long-term winner in San Antonio isn't going to put up with this crap and any trade involved will trade him for value, not send him to his choice destination for peanuts.

I'd take that...but we'd need them to take Okafor

Send his arse to Atlanta. Get JSmooth, Bibby, Pachullia and a couple picks back in return.
JSmooth and Pachullia are young guys.

I agree except for #3. I'd let Dallas and Portland bid also, and I might even let them win depending on how much better the deal was. Although ideally I think we want a multi team trade sending Paul to the Knicks or Nets.

There is literally nothing on the Mavs Roster I would want. If it's a 3 team deal then i think they could send some OK pieces to the third team. But beaubois, Butler just don't do it for me

It's called a bidding war, the more bidders the better.

Oh I'd let my fricking Grandma bid on him, the more bidders the better for sure. I meant I just don't want him to end up in the WC. Its one thing to have to face him twice a year/in a championship, but to potentially deal with having him eliminate you in the playoffs year after year, that's a heartbreaker, and I don't think Demps will let that happen. But again, doesn't mean you can't lead people on and get them to up the bid.

We trade CP3. Don't worry about him eliminating us from the playoffs. We will be in the lottery the next two years.
