I'll put it this way, Les thinks this could be his best one yet.

Same O-Line coach but we've added Ben Wilkerson (former LSU standout) as a grad assistant. It's been reported that he worked hard with the o-line this spring and that it's paying off. Let's hope so!!!

This is probably the question on everyones mind. Somebody posted weights this year compared to last year a while back and we are at least a little bigger from what I remember. If we have any board experts who believe we will be drastically improved I would love to hear from them in this thread.

I think the big problem is the zone blocking scheme. It does not fit the linemen LSU has, because they are not athletic enough for it.

I think W. Blackwell will make a significant improvement at his position.

With Wilkerson helping them out I think they may surprise some folks this year.

Bama and UF's 2008 and 2009 o-lines are the gold standard for me—especially Bama's 2009 line. I sure hope our 2010 line is improved, but I can't imagine it ranking higher than #4 in the SEC this season. Hope to hell I'm wrong.

However good the o-line is...so goes the team. O-line is the second most important position on the field (IMO...and its very close to the 1st (QB).

I think they will be better than last year, but will still rank in the middle to lower end of SEC O-Lines in 2010 (behind Bama, Fla, Arky, Auburn, Georgia, etc.).....thats why I think we go 8-4 or 7-5....

And trust me...its not because of the talent...its ALL coaching, team discipline and game planning...

Come on, Choctaw !!!!!

Any chance we can slip Wilkerson in Tbob's jersey and not be noticed on game day?

I personally think it will be improved. I like Hurst, Faulk, Lonergan, Joe moving to the Left Side.

Biggest thing is jefferson needs to learn to make quicker decisions and get rid of the ball faster. his release is one of the longest I've ever seen. Once he id's a target, winds up and it leaves his hand, the guy isn't even open any more.

It'll be better because it can't be any worse. Probably 8th to 10th in the SEC. Les better light a fire under some butts.
