Zaxbys Chicken

Looks like a wing and finger spot. Meh.

pretty much the same as canes, guthries etc.. although zaxbys has more selection, its pretty solid.

I am not very confident, the Steak and Shake down the street seems to be struggling.

I've had it in Birmingham, they need fast food there.

I had it last week in Gatlinburg, TN. The quality and tenderness of the chicken is similar to Cane's.

The batter is a big difference for me, though. There is more seasoning in the Zaxby's batter. It tastes pretty good at first, but by the end of the box, the fingers seemed pretty salty to me. The Texas toast is also saltier than Cane's. Fries are almost identical. Since I am not into overly salty foods, I prefer the Cane's fingers to Zaxby's.

There is a salad with chicken that is very good. My wife and her fried both said they would choose the Zaxby's salad over eating at Cane's, but Cane's should really offer something like this as well.

They have been around for over 15 years I think. Ray Goff was at one time part of the company actually. He might still be involved. I wish Canes would expand the menu like they did.

Can anyone really tell the difference from the not so special sauce sold by Zaxby's, Canes, and the original Chicken Finger chain Guthries? Zaxby's has a more varied menu but I'd say the consistency isn't as good as canes. They seem to employ average fast food hiring practices vs. Canes copying of the Chick Fil A model of hiring only shiny happy teens.

I've got it a few times on the drive back from Destin. It's ok, I still prefer Cane's flavor. Zaxby's menu is a lot better than Cane's though. They have salads, wings and of course fingers.

used to get the chicken salad a good bit when I lived in Gulfport, that location is now closed

They have great fried mushrooms
