Weekly Whale Wars FAIL thread

So lets see:
eta also all this happens in a single episode BWAHAHA
FAIL #1: Spent $5mil on a boat that was 'supposed' to be faster than the whaling ships but it got smoked by the slowest of the fleet..the factory ship
FAIL #2: Practically killing the crew (schoolteacher and carpenter LMAO) trying to launch boat in rough seas and while going 12knots/hr.
FAIL #3: Losing a mile on the Nishin trying to get launch in water.
FAIL #4: Losing another mile trying to haul it back in.
FAIL #5: Not fueling up Ady before sending it after Nishin
FAIL #6: Losing the prop fouler and everyone panicking that its going to end up fouling the Bob Barker's prop instead.
FAIL #7: High-fiving after firing a stinky apple at the Nishin with a spud gun and saying "YEAH! THAT SHOWED 'EM!"
FAIL #8: Failing to notice not one..not two..not three...but FOUR japanese fleet ships closing in until they're already in visual range.
FAIL #9: Paul crying about how disappointed he is the Bob Barker can't catch the Nishin and blames it the captain's decision to launch the speedboat even though the Nishin was clearly already running away from them.
FAIL #10: Ady Gil gets arse-raped next week. $3.8million down to the bottom of the antarctic ocean.

I laughed alot last night at how inept these ppl are. I'm almost to the point now of pulling for the whalers, not to kill whales but because they are sooooo much more intelligent than those Sea Shepherd dudes.

So are we talking Inspector Clouseau inept here? If so, I have to watch this show. While it sucks that these whalers are hunting down and killing whales, I just love it when hippies fail at something.

as an example, this season the ady gil has gotten damaged, had to return to port and lost its chief engineer to a fall.
the bob barker couldnt even get the 40 year old engine working for days..finally got it running and it broke again..oh this after spending $5mil on the boat
the steve irwin picked up a tail in the form of the nishin fleet's security ship and after spending 2 weeks realizing they couldn't get away..had to return to port and 'sneak' back out taking a ridiculous detour..so now they're still 1,100 miles away from the nishin fleet.
they should name this show 'how to fail at spending $10mil to help save whales'

This show really is a comedy. They need to put that song on, when they show the crew. The one from benny hill when he runs around chasing women. I think it's called the hamster dance song.
It would be fitting.

Here's what I don't understand: The whalers are killing the whales and processing them on the ship for human consumption. For people to eat. The same way people eat meat, fish, deer etc.. These hippies shoot an acid that makes the slain whale inedible therefore making their death pointless. Here in lies where I am torn. What are they accomplishing? The whales are already dead.

I assume, the hippies believe that if they keep ruining the whales (thus ruining the whalers jobs) the whalers will stop killing the whales. "Well, let's not even kill them anymore, because the hippies are going to render the entire whale useless anyway once we get it on board."
