"Sometimes you're flush and sometimes you're bust; when you're up it's never as good as it seems, and when you're down you feel like you'll never be up again. But life goes on, remember that."

Another popular misquote is in Empire Strikes Back.
Whenever anyone recites Vaders line from the end they always say
"Luke, I am your father"
when actually all he says is
"I am your father"
yet everyone seems to always add the Luke in front of it. This just got me thinking of that.

That's because people wouldn't know what movie it was from if they didn't add "Luke."

in silence of the lambs, most people think lector said "hello clarice."
when it was actually "good evening clarice."

I read an interesting bit about Silence of the Lambs...
The scene about the census taker where Clarice intros herself.
"I ate his liver with some....beans and a nice chianti, hiss hiss hiss
Anthony Hopkins ad lib that hissing and Jodies reaction to it was real and used in the movie...h

awesome. one of my all time favorite movies. lector is just the definition of an amazinlgly creepy/likeable bad guy. just wish foster would have been in hannibal, bc that would have been a legit sequel.
