Amusing Les Miles story

A customer of mine came into my office today, and noticed the LSU stuff on my desk. She told me that her son is going LSU to play football.
She told me a funny story of when Les Miles came to her home recruiting. I'm paraphrasing, but she told me:
"When Coach Miles came to my house he sat at my dinner table to speak with me and my husband. Now you know my husband's country. So he fed Coach pickled pigs lips. And dammed if old Coach Miles didn't sit there and eat those pig lips with a knife and fork. He must've wanted my son real bad to eat that stuff."
The mental image of this cracks me up. Les Miles wearing his LSU top hat, purple jacket and khakis, eating pigs lips with utensils.
By the way, her son is a recruit you've probably heard of.

I'm sure a great many coaches have eaten a great many things in the name of recruiting. It's amazing what grown men will do to enlist the services of 18 year old boys.
