I don't think you can be considered a bust if you go to an organization as terrible as the Raidahs.

I am not an LSU apologist, but Leaf is a bigger bust. The only reason I say that is because there was a national debate about which of the two to pick first. Some had wondered if Manning had reached his potential and some thought Leaf had more up side.
No one, but the Raiders considerd JR a overall number 1 pick and many had him rated as a round 2 or 3 qb.

By no means am I saying JR is not a bust, but most, including LSU fans, did not think this guy would be the first overall pick.

JR was the #1 pick. Leaf was #2. Does not matter where he was projected to go. He is well on his way to being not only a bigger bust than Leaf, but the biggest bust of ALL-TIME.

truth, he got the most money and quickest out of the league EVER for a #1 pick...

as of now he is THE biggest bust of all time, regardless of whether he gets on another team

Frankly, I don't think JR ever had an interest in perfomring at the pro-level. I think he put forth a so-so effort at LSU minus a few great effort games and his "natural potential" got him a big pay-check. I just think he was completely in it for the money. AFter getting picked up and maybe in three or four years, he'll mature and put forth an effort. But for now, he is the biggest bust ever, IMO

JR is the biggest waste of talent the NFL has ever seen. He got put on a bad team, bad supporting cast of players, bad owner, bad coaches, and bad fans. Add to the fact he didn't give a shite = why he did so bad. I wish I could have seen him play on a somewhat decent team in the NFL and see how well he would have done.

As others have said...JR is now in a class of his own.

I kept saying last year he was the "smartest" qb in the league. Nice guaranted pay check and he's sitting on the bench wearing a baseball cap and didn't have to worry about getting sacked.

Such a waste of potential talent.
