I was forwarded this article by a few friends from Morgan City and thought I'd pass it on. A writer from Boulder Colorado thinks it should be cancelled.

It would be nice if people really rallied and went to Morgan City to support the event and locals and spend some money.

If there are cities that need some help right now, Morgan City is one of them.

Being from MC, this kind of reaction doesn't surprise me at all. If you have never been to the S&P Fest, I strongly suggest that you go this year. There are some very interesting people to see, and the food and music is by far the best.

LOL, she locked her board for the captain. What a load of shite. She locked it because she was getting trashed by people for her awful literature.

I went to a couple of events at the S&P festival last year.

Anyway, MC residents don't give a rat's arse what some travel blogger says about it. Actually, it'll probably be good to lift spirits.. and maybe raise some money? I can see something like this gaining national momentum though as a punchline.

Our seafood is in good shape. Stop spreading rumors that our shrimp have oil on them.

Other than Hurricane Andrew, Morgan City is not known for much more than the S & P Festival and the guy who finished 2nd in the graduating class of 1990.

Screw the woman.

the seafood is in good shape, they have lots of areas closed and people can fish where they used to but the ones that are fishing are loading their boats

my brother is crabbing (or a crabberman to Biden) and they are catching a shite ton every day
